Our baby girl is turning 2 in a week

It doesnt seem like too long ago that Amanda was just a wee baby, when she could nary mutter a word and needed to be cuddled like a baby. Today, even those wobbly baby steps a thing of the past, she is growing up way too quickly for our liking. Just yesterday, I reminded the husband how Amanda is in her cutest phase ever and that we should really cherish these moments watching her grow up, taking note of every little funny action she does (which really is many).

My favourite is when she does this action of rolling her eyeballs sideways upwards with a really cheeky smile on her face. I honestly have no idea why she does that, perhaps her way of playing with us going by the amount of laughter that garners from us adults, but its so hilarious and endearing all at once.

It is also such a joy listening to her less than perfect linguistic abilities; ask her to tell you what a certain item is called, and she'd go 'ahhh cow', 'ahhh cup', 'ahhh ball'.. her ahhh is really 'a'. A cow, a cup, a ball.

Lately, this little strong charactered girl has even taken to putting the blame on her kor-kor whenever she does something wrong. "Amanda, did you pour the biscuits out?" we'd go and she'd look at us and say "Kor-kor do" pointing to her innocent brother, without batting an eyelid. Definitely a difficult one to handle, this little girl. Uh-oh.

So, she turns two in a week's time.. terrible twos or terrific twos? We've yet to find out, but either way, I'm pretty sure this little girl will charm her way through with us (kor-kor inclusive) with her cuteness. Mommy loves you so very much Amanda, and I hope you remain my little baby girl forever.

Hours of beach-y fun!

Thanks to Gabe, we had a weekend of fun at Sentosa enjoying the sand and the sea. We wanted Gabe to have a smashing birthday and so we booked a room for him at Sentosa just so that he could have hours of fun at the pool and beach. The kids had so much fun, even the sweltering heat couldnt keep the them away.

Wishing for more fun times like these with the family (bcos if its just mommy & daddy, we are just too lazy for high effort activities like this!).

Happy turning 3, Gabe!

A Mickey celebration we had for little Gabe, with a line of activities planned his entire birthday weekend! Did you have fun Gabe???

Look at how much your mommy splurged on all these decorations! It was all worth it I'm sure, after all it is the first time in 3 years that we are celebrating Gabe's birthday with him.

Happy 3rd birthday Gabe! Wishing you lots more singing of songs, less scoldings from your mommy, less falls, and more of that happy cheeky smile on your face all the time! Love you lots, little Gabe.

Normalcy, finally

After the last two weeks of chaos at home, we gladly welcome back our much needed daily routine with both arms. So much so, it called for a celebratory dinner on Sunday night. Just before the kids head back to school and I, back to work. :)

Super Dad, our comic hero

Credit: SuperDad Father's Day printable from IHeartNapTime

To celebrate Father's Day and thank daddy for all his love, the kids made a comic book for daddy this year. Well, Wayne and myself did most of the work and Amanda helped by adding a few crumples here and there. Hope you loved it daddy, Happy Father's Day!
