Hello moo moo cow!

Mommy & daddy bought little Wayne a cow balloon to play with! This time, our timid little boy wasnt scared of it! Normally he's a bit scared of balloons, but not when its in the shape of his favourite moo moo cow!

Wayne likes to play with anything that is not his

Give Wayne anything that is not his, and chances is he'd like it. He'd give up his own toys for those 'untouchable' items. Top on his list:

(1) Mommy & daddy's mobile phone
(2) Remote controls
(3) Laptop
(4) Daddy's amplifier

From the list, we just know he'd grow up to be a gadgets kind of boy.

They key is holes and buttons. He loves anything that has holes and buttons on them. Thats the reason why he likes our mobile phones and the remote control so much. And the tower fan in our living room. He loves to put his little index finger through the holes.

If it happens to be dangling as well, that's like a bonus. Like the curtains. And decorative items that swings around. Wayne loves them.

Or maybe, the rule basically is, if its not a proper toy, he'd like it. Thats our little boy Wayne. =)

First time swimming

As promised, we brought Wayne Wayne swimming on Sunday! And he loved it!

Mommy half expected Wayne Wayne to be scared of the water (a result of our first swimming experience when Wayne cried most of the time) but turns out, Wayne loved it! He splashed water all over his face and enjoyed his float ride on mr turtle!

Lets go swimming again this weekend, shall we baby?

Lots of hugs from mommy!

Marina Barrage!

Spent the day in town, and on the way home, we decided to pop by Marina Barrage and wow, we were surprised by how popular the place was! It was really crowded! But I must say, its really a nice place to hang out on a weekend cos the view was beautiful and the place really windy. There were lots of family and groups of young people realxing there, flying kites and having picnics. Mommy is thinking of organising a picnic there too, but on a weekday so it would be less crowded!

Just for laughs!

Just remembered these funny photos that feiyiyi sent to me of Wayne! Burst out laughing when I saw them!

Love the lollipop eyes in the first and the red ribbon on his head in the second!

That heartwarming moment..

You know how everyone talks about the bonding that forms between mommy & baby when breastfeeding? Having breastfed Wayne for 7 months, I can attest to it.. I really miss those moments when Wayne would be latched on to me, drinking his milk. Because that's when I experience some of the most heartwarming moments with little Wayne Wayne - he would be latched on to me, happily drinking his milk, when he'd stop for a second, unlatch and look me in the eye, and give me the sweetest heart-melting smile, and the next moment back to drinking his milk. Its like his way of stopping whatever he is doing and telling me he loves me in his own way. And THAT, totally melts my heart.

Well, now that I've stopped breastfeeding, I no longer experience those moments.. but guess what, mommy has found another precious bonding time with Wayne!

Which is at night, just before bedtime. I am usually the one putting Wayne to sleep at night. We'd both lie down on mommy & daddy's bed. And I'd usually ignore him so that he wont think its play time and Wayne would be crawling all over, flipping around the bed, before he finally gets tired and sleepy. And THAT's when the special feeling comes in. =) When he's like all tired and ready to sleep, he'll 'stone' for a while staring into nowhere, then he'd slowly crawl towards mommy, prop his head on my tummy or chest and lie there sleeping. Awww.. its like he just wants to fall asleep by mommy's side. I can't describe it, but its just this incredible sweet feeling. That makes mommy's heart go all soft and feel all the sacrifices in life for little Wayne are all worth it.

Having fun in the water!

Wayne has been having such a blast of a time playing at bath time lately, that daddy & mommy decided its probably time to bring Wayne for a real swim in the water! Besides, we've got his swim wear, floats, beach ball, sunblock lotion and froggie float all ready! So this weekend, we are heading to the pool, yippee!

The closest we got to bringing him swimming was at 5 months when we brought him to Hwaxia where he was placed in this rubber tub and got so scared, he kept crying. The next time was at Pan Pac, in the hotel bathtub. =p Hopefully, now at 8 and a half months old, Wayne's a brave boy and wont be scared of the water!

Its a brand new year..

... and Wayne has been waking up to new toys every day - all thanks to the xmas!

His all time favourite (for now - cos he gets bored really easily) is the car bought by his uncle J. He loves it, each time he gets on, he'll grab the steering wheel and turn it!

The other present that Wayne & mommy love is the DVD "The Wheels on the Bus". When mommy first played the DVD, Wayne could only watch it for maybe 5 minutes before he got distracted & started to yell at mommy for attention. But after a few times now, he can watch the DVD for up to 20 minutes and get really engrossed! That gives mommy a short breather to do my stuff! Its a really good DVD, very entertaining! The nursery rhymes are fun to hear, and Beep the Bus looks really cute and colorful! Mommy wants to get Volume 2!!

Wayne's first holiday

We went on our first family trip to Genting right after the xmas festive season - on 28th to 30th December. Together with mom, dad, mich, viv, ken and elaine, we drove up to Genting Highlands for some cool weather, good food, kiddy rides and luck toiling. Well, turns out lady luck was only upon Ningam!

Anyway, this was Wayne Wayne's first trip overseas! First chop in his passport! Daddy wasn’t convinced that we could bring him to somewhere further (mommy was thinking australia), so we settled for somewhere nearer, not requiring a flight.

We were worried he may not be able to take the long car ride there, turned out not too bad. Half the trip he slept, the other half when he was awake, mommy tried to entertain him with his many toys! Wayne Wayne, do you still remember "Monkey....... DROP!!!"? Still cried a little, but it wasnt too bad. Hopefully daddy will be convinced now, that Wayne's ready for a REAL trip. Like to Australia. Or better still, Europe. Or the USA. *fingers crossed*

Just Malaysia this time, but it was still fun. =) Wayne enjoyed all the xmas lightings and the cool weather very much! He was so fascinated by the xmas decorations! He's a really good boy, as long as he gets to go out and watch the world go by, he's a happy boy. =) And we brought him on all the kiddy rides too - of all, I think he liked the carousel most. The weather wasnt too good for outdoors though. So we only brought him on the indoor rides. Save the outdoor bit for when he is slightly older and can run around!

Hope you enjoyed the trip Wayne Wayne! Mommy loves you lots!

Xmas Special Part 6 : The Family Xmas Party!

Merry Christmas everyone! Welcome to the our first ever family xmas party! I am little Santa Wayne and I am going to bring you through my first xmas party with my family!

P/s : This is going to be a long blog entry - be prepared! =)

Date : 27 December 2009 (Sunday)
Time : 6pm onwards
Venue : Carissa Park (My mommy& daddy's home)
Theme : Red for the girls & Green for the guys (Except for me, cos I am little Santa, so although I am a boy, mommy has dressed me in my red Santa outfit)

We started the day early, going to Cold Storage first thing in the morning to buy some groceries - mainly the steak (that my daddy has to cook tonight) and drinks for the party. After that, we got home and mommy spent the afternoon preparing the party bags and preparing me for the party, bathing and changing me and making sure I had enough sleep before the party, while daddy marinated the steak.

And, mommy made sure I had my dinner before everyone came - so that I wont disturb them when they are having their dinner!

Very soon it was 6pm, and the party got started!!! First Uncle Ken came, then grandpa and grandma and all the rest came too!

We had so much fun at the party and there were so many things we did that its hard to write it all down, so I'll just let the photos tell the story! Enjoy the photos!

This is my grandma & grandpa, who loves me alot!

Look at the many presents that are under our xmas tree - more than half of the presents here are for me!! Thanks everyone!

I couldnt wait to open my presents!

My da-yi!

And Uncle Terry - who looks very happy with his Santa hat!

My fei yiyi and MOMMY!

My mommy & daddy whom I love very very much!

THE XMAS DINNER!

Everyone was supposed to prepare a dish for our xmas dinner, there was so much food that night - yummy!!

Busy preparing in the kitchen!

Wow, look at the food, doesn't it look good!

Mango prawns by Aunty Mich, baked potatoes by Aunty Viv and steamed vegetables by Uncle Ken

The steak that daddy cooked - I'm sure he was very stressed! Daddy had been practising the past 2 weekends, trying to perfect his steak for the party! It turned out very delicious!

Aunty Mich's garlic butter salmon.. yummy!

Grandma's creation - lobster salad with mushroom soup! Perfected with 2 pretzel sticks!

This was a surprise, we didn't know Uncle Terry could actually cook! His seafood soba was very popular that night!

Fei yiyi cant cook so she bought ham! Hehe!

Before we filled our tummies, we had a group photo! See how happy everyone looked!! This is mommy's favourite photo!

FAMILY PHOTOS!

After dinner, we took some family photos by the beautiful xmas tree.

First to go, was Aunty Michelle & Uncle Terry

Then, it was Aunty Viv & Uncle Ken's turn - they look so sweet together!

And my grandpa and grandma!

My fei yiyi and her sisters! This photo is really nice, it looks like its taken at some photo studio!
Finally, it was my turn, with my mommy & daddy!

Then it was the boys turn.. old boys! Handsome in green! My grandpa and his 3 son-in-laws.. =)

The girls, pretty in red! Grandma, and her 4 daughters. =)

The whole family!!! Can you see my hairband? Hehe.

And another one!

THE XMAS PRESSIE EXCHANGE

After our photo taking session, it was the most fun time - the great xmas present exchange! Everyone was very excited to see what presents they were going to receive and who they were receiving it from - it was a secret! So we all sat in a circle, and starting from Uncle Terry, the surprises were slowly revealed!

Uncle Terry bought for Aunty Viv...

And it was a pair of shoes! See how cool the shoes look - only my Aunty Viv would be able to pull that off!

And then it was Aunty Vivien's turn to reveal who she had bought her present for.. and it was mommy!

Aunty Viv bought mommy a perfume for the home - just what mommy needed!!

And mommy bought her present for Aunty Mich! A T shirt with some bling bling..

... and a blusher too!

Next was grandma's turn..

She got a bible from Aunty Mich.. it was a very nice bible with the word mom on the cover!

OOohhhh and now, the most exciting part of the gift exchange.. Uncle Terry opening the present grandma bought for him..

And aaahhhh everyone started screaming and bursting out in laughter, cos grandma not only bought uncle terry an underwear with the word sexy behind... but also got him...

... a G STRING underwear, with the bum exposed!!! hahahhaha!!!!!
See how excited Uncle Ken got!!!!! Hehehee....

And how happy uncle terry looks... hehe.. hmm, i wonder if uncle terry has worn it?????
After the commotion, it was daddy's turn to receive his present from Uncle ken.. is daddy hoping he'd get something similar??? hmm....
but its not! uncle ken is a pastor so he wont buy 'those' stuff (not like grandma) hehehe..... so uncle ken got daddy a shaving cream and after shave cream! Daddy loved it!
Grandpa's turn now! Everyone was curious what daddy bought for grandpa cos the packaging was so big!!!

It was a table that can be placed above your lap to put your laptop on - something grandpa needs cos he likes to sit on the sofa in front of the tv with his laptop!

After waiting for so long, it was fei yiyi's turn.. grandpa bought her earphones and a webcamera!

See how happy fei yiyi looks!!!

And lastly, it was uncle ken's turn!

Wow, it was a hat!! It suits trendy uncle ken so much!!!!!

And so, after much laughter, everyone was very happy and we took a group photo with all our presents... but you noticed something.. only little Wayne Wayne has not received my present!!!!!

So it was then Wayne Wayne's turn to receive presents!!! While everyone had only ONE present, Wayne Wayne had many many presents!!!! Yay!!! There were too many presents for little Wayne, that we could not open all that night, so mommy decided Wayne Wayne will just open those bought my grandma, grandpa and all my yi yis. The rest would have to wait another day!

I got excited when it was my turn to open presents!
Mommy helped me open my presents.. first one from Uncle Ken and Aunty Viv..

yay, it was a DVD and a few CDs for me to listen to!

Uncle Terry and Aunty Mich bought me clothes! Yay!! Thank you uncle terry, thank you aunty mich!

Fei yiyi bought me floats!! yay that means I can go swimming very soon!! Mommy. when are you bringing me????
And wow, I got a nice pair of shoes from grandma, and a big dancing tower toy from grandpa!!!

Thank you everyone for the presents, Wayne Wayne loves them!!!

After I opened my presents, it was already 10plus pm, so mommy fed me my milk and it was time for me to go to sleep! But the party continued till just past midnight, with mommy and everyone else playing Pictionary! It must have been very fun, cos I could hear them all laughing very loudly outside my bedroom!!! =)

Grandma and the 3 boys were in a team while grandpa was in another team with mommy, aunty mich, viv and elaine. It was such a close fight, in the end, grandma and the boys won!

After the games, the party ended.. by that time it was already past midnight. We had a really fun time, mommy cant wait for the next party again!

MERRY MERRY XMAS EVERYONE!
