Photoshoot at 3 months old

Our little diva sure made her photographer work really hard in this maiden photoshoot of hers (at three and a half months old!).

It lasted for about three hours, and half the time Amanda was crying and fussing. She certainly did not like being manhandled into various poses and didn't hesitate to show her displeasure. No surprises we did not manage to capture many nice photos of her!

Still, there was this one shot of her and mommy which I love!

Mommy is now already planning her next photoshoot! Hoping we have better luck the next time!

Daddy's little girl

At just four months old, Amanda has captured every bit of daddy's heart and is able to make it go all mush with just a flash of her megasweet smile. I'm not surprised she has daddy wrapped all round her little finger by the time she knows how to demand for what she wants.

You see, her face lights up when she sees daddy and she breaks into that adorable grin whenever daddy sings 'twinkle twinkle little star' to her. Even mommy doesn't get that kind of star treatment.

And that, has made daddy really really happy.

Amanda. Daddy's little girl. And daddy can't be more proud.

Rain rain, go away

Weather has been really awful lately. What was to be a fun cycling trip with yiyi yesterday was marred by the rain. Barely an hour after Wayne left home with yiyi, they had to turn back.

But this cute photo of Wayne in his rain coat makes up a little for the disappointment!

A date with the ponies

I probably wasn't really expecting Wayne to go on a pony ride, but somehow I still felt a tinge of disappointment when he told me he was scared and didn't want to. Wayne has always steered towards being that little bit more timid compared to other kids from young. Sometimes, I read about how other kids have so much fun trying out various new activities (which I'm constantly on the look out for) such as feeding animals, enjoying musicals, going on pony rides etc.. And I wish Wayne would be a little more gungho and adventurous too. Sure, it keeps him a little less accident prone, but surely all these exploring would be good for his learning too. And come on, he is a boy!

Well, I guess he will learn and enjoy these activities at his own pace. And, we probably can play a part in encouraging him that bit more. I'm sure one day he will have his turn!

As for today, we were content to just admire the ponies from a distance, and watch some other jiejie's go on their pony rides.

And savour some yummy desserts at the nearby restaurant too!

Birthday bliss

Pretty flowers from the husband to celebrate the day!

I turn a year older again. I'm painfully aware that age is creeping up but today, the husband told me, "Don't worry you still look very young" and it dawned upon me that perhaps very soon I won't be looking 'young' anymore. Can't help but wonder when that auntie look actually starts hitting us?

Looks aside, I am pretty happy turning 32. With two beautiful kids, a loving husband and a whole lot of our family members healthy and happy together, what else can I ask for? I am contented. On days I am not, I really should. =)

Birthday breakfast at the Sky Terrace

Thanks to the husband for the early morning breakfast prepared - we had ham, eggs, sausages, bread and baked beans complete with hot coffee in a flask. It felt so good waking up early, enjoying the morning breeze while sipping our hot coffee! Having our breakfast on the 14th floor sky terrace sure was a refreshing experience! I want to do this again.

Birthday dinner with the family

The night before, we had my birthday dinner celebration with the in-laws at Liang Court. Thanks for the dinner, birthday cake and present!

Baker & Cook

The opening of a new bakery just down the road from home, its grand opening on the same day as my birthday. Being the bread lover I am, we just had to try it.

Tea time at another favorite bakery of mine, Paul.

Bomba Paella Bar

Birthday dinner at yet another newly opened restaurant just down the road, beside Baker & Cook. The food here was really good. We had the seafood paella, which was very flavorful, definitely one of the best I've eaten. We also had the Secreto Iberico, which is a pork dish cooked like beef. It was cooked in such a unique way, I don't even know how to describe but it was just so yummy. And lastly, we also tried the scallops, which like the rest of the dishes was simply delicious and impressive. The food here definitely will not disappoint you!

And that was just some of the things we did on my birthday. All revolving around food I realize!

Someone's getting her license to travel!

Finally applied for Amanda's passport!

Cute photo, yes?
