Wayne goes for a BBQ!

Sick as I was, I still managed to go for a BBQ gathering with Wayne and hubby darling. Told you it wasnt that serious right. =)

Little Wayne went along with us to Uncle Weiqiang & Aunty Jolyn’s place. While we adults ate our BBQ food, Wayne had his little puffs to feast on too! Wayne spent most of his time there entertaining all the uncle and aunties! The evil uncles kept passing Wayne Wayne their mobile phones asking Wayne to punch in 4 numbers!!! Terrible!!!! Hahhahahaha. The lucky number was................ not telling you! =p

Being sick & having to look after a baby is no fun

Mommy is SICK. Down with the flu bug. Not too serious but enough to make mommy all tired and grouchy most of the day.

And because it was the weekend, Wayne was with mommy the whole day, which made mommy really worried I’d pass the germs to Wayne. We have always felt very thankful that Wayne has not fallen sick before since birth. Everyone says babies are most difficult when they are sick so mommy is really keeping my fingers crossed. But somehow mommy has got a feeling we wont be that lucky. How not to when mommy is always in such close proximity to little Wayne?

Huakai has been helping to do most of the stuff for Wayne - feeding him, bathing him, playing with him.. He can do all (Wayne’s got a pretty capable daddy!) except putting Wayne to sleep during the day. And that’s when mommy has got to step in and carry Wayne real close and that’s also probably when all the germs are being transferred to him… =(

Sigh. I hope I recover fast.

A new walker and PJ for Wayne

At work today, mommy missed wayne Wayne alot. Kept thinking of your cutie face. So at lunch, mommy decided to shop for some stuff for Wayne, and here’s what mommy bought for you!! A new set of PJs and a walker from Mothercare! Wayne Wayne can now stand up and walk sideways holding on to his cot or the sofa, so its time for Wayne to star practicing walking! Wayne has a walker at home, but its kind of light and slippery so mommy decided to get another one, hopefully heavier and with more friction at the wheels. This walker we saw, comes with rubberized wheels, so hopefully it’ll work much better for Wayne!

Yet another CNY dinner

We had yet another CNY dinner today, this time with grandma and the rest of the family. Sadly Uncle Ken could not join us. Wayne Wayne's Uncle Ken was in Haiti helping the quake victims, hooray to Uncle Ken! Uncle Ken, when you are back lets have another big meal together, oki????

And guess what we did after dinner? Texas hol'em AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! We had a good laugh over poker.. and Grandpa emerged the biggest winner!!!! Looks like his many Genting trips actually brought him some skills or perhaps just luck! Wayne Wayne could only watch on for a short while before it was time to sleep!! Next time you'll join in k, Wayne? Daddy will teach you!!!!

And after Polliwogs, it was time for a nap for Wayne back home, before we headed out AGAIN to meet Aunty Shimin at Raffles City. Mommy & Aunty Shimin did some catching up over coffee - on work, baby chloe, baby Wayne, and everything else - while Wayne took another short nap in mommy's arms.

And after that, we fetched daddy from work and headed off for some yummy ramen!

A Polliwogs morning

After a busy CNY celebration, mommy's glad I had 2 extra days off work to rest and spend some time with Wayne. Early Thursday morning, mommy & Wayne Wayne went to East Coast for breakfast at BK while waiting for Grandma and Fei yiyi to go to Polliwogs together. Little Wayne loved the colorful balls at Gogo Bambini so mommy brought Wayne to another indoor playground, Polliwogs, which is at East Coast.

Finally mastered the Gong Xi Gong Xi hand action

.... finally Wayne Wayne learnt how to do the 'gong xi gong xi' action! Yay!!!!!!!!! Although Wayne Wayne is 4 days late in mastering the action, you still managed to do it before CNY is over!!!

And then, it was CNY at Batu Pahat!

On the second & third day of CNY, it was reunion with mommy's family! CNY was celebrated in Batu Pahat, Johor, where mommy's grandma lives. Every year, all mommy's relatives will gather at Batu Pahat. So early morning on Chu 2, daddy drove cross the causeway to Batu Pahat!

Mommy was really excited as finally we can meet grandma, grandpa, fei yiyi, da yi, uncle terry, san yi & uncle ken. Not to mention Baby Chloe, and all mommy's cousins whom mommy seldom get to meet during the year. It was so much fun there as great grandma's house was really crowded with lots of relatives. And as usual, every year, we'd be gambling together! This year, little Wayne got to join us in some gambling fun too! =p

And each year, during CNY, we will take some family photos! Mommy really treasures these photos as they are precious memories of happy times!! This year, there were 2 new family members in our photos - Wayne Wayne and Baby Cousin Chloe! Yippee!! Next CNY, can we have more new members da-yi and san-yi? Wayne Wayne wants to play with them and be their big brother! =)

A lovely photo with great grandma.. Not many of us have the chance to see our great grandma and even get to know them, so this is one truly special photo to cherish. Look at little Wayne's smile!!

And finally our yearly CNY dinner together with grandma's extended family. We had 5 tables in total! Wow, our extended family is getting bigger and bigger with all the kids joining the family!

As it is the year of the tiger, there was a tiger mascot walking around the restaurant and little Wayne Wayne also received some sweets from 'chai shen ye'! But I think little Wayne was a little afraid of 'cai shen ye' as he was in a bright red 'ching chong' costume!

And before we knew it, it was time to go home!

But this year, instead of going home straight, we decided to make a trip to Kluang to visit grandpa's relatives too! Wayne Wayne haven't met all of them yet, so we brought little Wayne there for some introduction! Mommy was so busy talking to all of them there that mommy forgot to take some photos of Wayne with them!!! The next time, we must remember!!

And the little accident on our journey home! hehehhe... can you guess what that is? thats little Wayne's poop!! hahaah.. wayne's diapers were full and when he pooped, it leaked out, onto mommy's jeans and on to the car seat too!!! eeiiiii... and there was a jam at the causeway so mommy & daddy were stuck with the sweet smell in the car for quite some time! yucks yucks yucks!!!! (but grandma says its 'cai' y'know?)

Well, so that was how CNY went.. Wayne Wayne must have been so tired after all the CNY excitement cos the next morning, he slept till 945am, when normally he wakes up at 8am. And during his morning nap, he slept for 2 hours and 15 min, when normally he only does 45min to an hour!
