Happy 3 months old baby!

On this day, the 20th of July, mommy & daddy wishes our little Wayne Wayne, a very happy day turning 3 months old!

2 months and 3 weeks old

At 2 months and 3 weeks, little Wayne is now 57.5 cm tall. =) He has grown 7.5 cm from birth. Not sure what's his weight as of today, but 2 weeks back, at 2 months and 1 week, he was 5.5kg! Up 3kg from his birth weight.

And little Wayne has developed quite a character of his own.. demanding, feisty and impatient but super adorable too! Hehe. Sometimes I find it really amazing how a 2 month plus baby can actually know how to throw tantrums, show his displeasure and manipulate us adults in order to get his way. For example, he will always want to be carried sitting upright lately. No longer can we carry him lying down in our arms horizontally. Perhaps he is now in the stage where he wants to see things and look around.. once we carry him lying down he will wail and wail. And, thats not all! When he is being carried, he will want you to walk around too! Its amusing, once you sit down, he will start crying. Once you get up and walk, the crying stops! Thats Wayne Wayne's way of talking to mommy and daddy ah!

Anyway, I thought 2 month old babies are supposed to sleep most of the time???

Bu he's in a really cute stage now. He can now smile back at you and baby talk.. and he also loves to suck his fingers! He started doing these when he was about 2 months old, about 3 weeks back. So adorable! Love to hear him gaga and gugu.. and when daddy & mommy sings to him at night, Wayne Wayne will also start to sing (in his own way la.. aahhh oooh...)!!

My first trip to East Coast Park

Daddy was on leave today, so the three of us woke up early this morning to go for a stroll at East Coast Park!

The weather was fantastic - cooling and breezy, with just a bit of sun towards the end of our stroll. Wayne Wayne slept throughout most part of our outing, in his comfortable Maxi Cosi, only waking up towards the end. In his Obaibi polo t-shirt (thanks da yi!!) and Levis shorts, Wayne Wayne looked so cute! Bet you enjoyed the cool sea breeze baby!

Wayne's dim sum outing!

Brought Wayne for dim sum today, its his first meal out with HK's parents and aunty. Went to Tunglok at the Chinese Swimming Club.. and took lotsa lotsa photos! He was such a good little boy, he sat happily in his stroller while we ate.. he spent most of his time sucking his little fingers, while mommy kept snapping photos of him!

Wayne's attention seeking cries!

Our darling Wayne Wayne seeking daddy's attention - caught on film! See how 'teh' he is, always curling down his lips.. so adorable!!! Over the past weeks, we have learnt to distinguish between his many different kind of cries and this, is his attention seeking cry. Wanting daddy and mommy to carry him!

Wayne wayne makes mommy smile!!

Lately, little Wayne have been smiling alot! Yippee!! And, because of that, mommy have been feeling happy too! It has become a routine now, each morning when I go over to Wayne's room with a big smile and a loud, cheery"Good morning Wayne Wayne!", I will spend the next 15 minutes playing with him.. talking to him and seeing him smile and baby talk! And, mommy will feel so so happy... I love seeing him smile and hearing him baby talk.. ah ah ooh ooh ..so damn cute lor! =)=)=)

And we have been letting him lie on his tummy for about 10 minutes each night recently, to strengthen his neck and back muscles. Wayne cant really hold his neck up for very long yet. Just a few seconds and he will be tired, but its a start! Jia you baby!!!!

Poor Wayne's down with fever after his jab!

Wayne Wayne had his 1st dose of the 6-in-1 jab due at 2 months.. and he was such a sweet brave boy!! When Dr Chan (yeps.. we changed paedi from Dr Ee to Dr Chan!) gave him the injection, he cried twice then stopped and was okie after that, smiling and looking around as usual. So brave! =)

But in the afternoon, he got a little cranky.. crying more often and needed to be carried all the time. It must have been the effects of the jab and he must have felt uncomfortable, my poor darling! And towards the evening, he developed a slight fever but after giving him his medicine, he was fine and slept throughout most of the night. By the next day, Wayne Wayne was his usual cheery self! Yay!

Ohh, you know during the jab, I was the one carrying him.. and when we got home in the afternoon when I carried him, he kept crying and he didnt seem to feel comforted by me (normally he does!).. and I was thinking whether Wayne Wayne was smart enough to link the fact that I was carrying him to the pain he felt during the jab? Maybe he felt it was me who inflicted the pain on him? Babies cant be that smart right??? Anyway, for the next jab, it would be daddy's turn to carry him!!! I dont want to be the bad person!! Hehehehe....

Oh right, we changed paediatrician this time.. Dr Ee was okie but he shares the clinic with a few other doctors so his clinic is always really packed, with lots of kids, crying and running around.. and the waiting time is terrible.. the last time we visited, we had to wait a good 2 hours! Thats way too long.... So decided to switch to Dr Irene Chan at IKids, she was also recommended by Dr Lee, my gynae, and we were really happy with her. She was very nice, very reassuring and very very experienced. The waiting time was still quite long, at 1 hour on a Saturday but I guess its much better than at Kinderclinic where Dr Ee is. Dr Chan was also recommended by my colleague, Wei-Lyn, and it was such a coincidence that I bumped into her there as well! She brought her baby Emily for her one year jab.. sweet sweet Emily!!! And we even breastfed our babies together at the nursing corner while she updated me on the happenings at work! Missing all of them already!

Wayne misses grandma, grandpa and fei yi yi!!!

Wayne hasnt seen grandpa, grandma and fei yi yi for so long!! And, its all the H1N1 virus's fault!

First, fei yi yi went to Bangkok and then grandpa went to Bahrain, so they had to be quarantined at home! So Wayne Wayne couldnt go over to visit them.. its been almost 3 weeks!!! Wayne Wayne and mommy cant wait to go over this Thursday!!! 2 more days!! Yeah!!! Counting down!!!

This Thursday would be the 6th day since grandpa came back from Bahrain. Quarantine period is usually 7 days but because fei yi yi would be going to Redang on Thursday night, if we dont hurry go over on Thurs, we have to wait a few more days before she is back again!

Happy Father's Day!!

Its daddy's first Father's Day!!!

Wayne Wayne wishes daddy a very HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!! *Kiss kiss kiss* Since Wayne Wayne is not old enough to make daddy a card yet, mommy prepared a card for daddy on Wayne Wayne's behalf! When Wayne's older, mommy will teach you how to make a card for daddy k!

In celebration, Wayne Wayne, mommy & daddy went to Botanical Gardens for a stroll! We had planned to go to Dempsey's Dome for a drink first but it was fully packed, so in the end we went to Cafe Beviamo at Tanglin Mall, and had yummy iced chocolate, pizza and sandwich! After which, off we went to the Gardens for lotsa photo taking!!!!!!

Events of the day:

Started with Wayne Wayne taking a bath!

Then Wayne Wayne was all decked out in his blue and white outfit from Chateau de Sable, which was a pressie from Aunty Shimin! Looking handsome!!!

And just before hopping into the car, we had to take our family photo!! Daddy, mommy and Wayne Wayne all in blue and white stripes (its the theme of the day!!), don't we look good together???
