It feels like time has fast forwarded and the Terrible Two years has arrived

You know how we always hear about the Terrible Twos? Wayne is barely 13 months old, and seriously it feels like time has fast forwarded and the Terrible Two years has ARRIVED. For the last two weeks, he has been extremely difficult to handle. Meals outside with just hk & i seems impossible. He can barely sit down for 10 minutes before he starts to scream, make a fuss & throw everything he gets a hold on. Car rides are a nightmare too. While in the past he'd just sleep while I am driving, now he'd scream. All the way. And if daddy is driving and mommy is beside him at the back seat, its an even worse nightmare. He'd be screaming AND pulling my hand at the same time. And he wont give up. Even his caregivers have been complaining.... Basically, the problem is that he has over the last 2 weeks, turned into a SCREAMER. Almost all the time. He'll scream to show that he wants something and he'll scream even louder if he doesnt get it. So the house has been really noisy of late. And mommy & daddy's patience running thin. Is this just a phase? Mommy really hopes so. =(

But you know having said all these, he's at this really cute stage too (ok - when he is NOT screaming). Apart from being a screamer, he's also a COPYCAT. Haha, he loves to copy what we do now. When daddy tickles mommy's tummy, he'd crawl over and do the same. When daddy places a toy on his head, Wayne would do the same too. So its been pretty funny. Just 10 minutes ago, as I typed away, Wayne got hold of his baby wipes and started pulling out the pieces of wipes. At least 10 - he was really fast. And of cos mommy went "WAYNE!!!!!!!!!!"... and started putting the pulled out wipes back into the package. And Wayne seeing mommy do that, also started putting the rest in. And when there were no more wipes on the floor to put in, he started taking his toy bricks and tried to stuff them in too. It was hilarious. Haha.

So anyway mommy is now reading this book that Aunty Jean gave mommy : Children are from Heaven. Hopefully I'd find some good parenting tip here. Meantime.. Wayne, please behave yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!

Birthday Special VI - Precious heartwarming messages

As Wayne turned one years old, Mommy really wanted something special for Wayne to remember by when he grew up. Not just from mommy & daddy, but also from all those close to us who loves Wayne so dearly and who have, together with mommy & daddy, watched & contributed to Wayne's growing up years.

Therefore mommy had thought what would be most meaningful would be precious messages from all those close to Wayne so that when Wayne grows up, he can read back on all these messages though now he does not understand.

So everyone had a piece of paper to pen their birthday messages to Wayne - in Wayne's moo moo cow theme! Together with all the photos taken during his one year celebration, Mommy will keep all these precious letters in a scrapbook for Wayne. From yeye, nainai, Aunty Florence, Aunty Lena, grandma, grandpa, da yi & uncle terry, san yi & uncle ken, fei yiyi & of course, mommy & daddy too.

Birthday Special V - Just US on your actual birthday: Daddy, mommy & wayne

After the big & exciting birthday celebration we had on Sunday, it was now time for our small little private celebration with Wayne - just mommy & daddy & Wayne Wayne! Mommy & daddy took leave from work, so that we could bring Wayne out to Sentosa!!

Mommy had planned a day out at the beach - a small picnic and lotsa fun time playing with the sand and water! And the weather was perfect!!! We went to Sentosa in the late afternoon and the weather was so cooling and windy! Not much of the sun - yippee!!

After our tummies were full, it was time for some fun on the beach! Wayne Wayne loved playing with the water!! While mommy & daddy carried Wayne and ran around on the beach, Wayne kept chuckling away!!!!! That made mommy & daddy really happy. Cos although Wayne doesnt know what a special day that was being his first birthday, he sure had lots of fun!!!

Birthday Special IV - Presents & more presents!

We waited till Wayne's actual birthday on the 20th before opening up all the presents & red packets that Wayne received for his birthday! Mommy loves the excitement of opening up presents!!! So early on 20th morning, the first thing we did was to open the pressies!!!!

There were so many lovely presents!!! There were all kind of toys, clothes, shoes, books and more! Yeye and nai nai bought a car seat for Wayne, grandma & grandpa bought a remote controlled jeep for Wayne, dayi bought little Scout and clothes and an anklet for Wayne, san yi got Wayne a super plush blanket all the way from Barney's in New York (and a wooden spoon for disciplining Wayne!=p) and fei yiyi got Wayne a tricycle!

And guess which turned out to be Wayne's favourite???? The little wooden spoon!! It so defeated its purpose. The moment he got hold of it he refused to let go, crawling around hitting everything with it! So now, mommy has got to hide it for a while, then when he is naughty - out it will come - to use to spank Wayne Wayne!!

Everytime we ask him to love Muffin, he'd do this super endearing action! Warms mommy's heart all the time!

And funnily, wayne kept trying to put his leg in this toy and sit on top of it! ?????

Mommy's favourite!!! The blanket was so plush and soft and mommy totally feels its a waste to let super rough Wayne use this!!! He'll destroy it!!! Suits mommy more!!!!! Suri Cruise has this too you know??? Wah!!!!!!!!

Little Scout to teach Wayne Wayne many stuff!!! And look at that cool looking shirt - we'll wear that at Hokkaido!!!!
