OOhhhh, its a canoe polo match!! And yippee, I spot my fei yiyi!!!
And so, we spent our lazy Sunday afternoon supporting fei yiyi in her canoe polo match! Wayne Wayne must be her biggest supporter, its the 3rd time Wayne has attended fei yiyi's matches!
Good thing, we found a cool spot to sit down and watch the match!! And when Wayne was bored, he had his sand castle tools by his side to keep him entertained!

All the best fei yiyi!!! Hope you bag the championship!

Wayne has been babbling alot lately, so mommy is really on 'standby' and looking forward to when you start saying your first words any moment any time now! That will be so so fun!!!!!

Shichida is getting fun

Mommy & Wayne attended our second Shichida lesson together this afternoon. Wayne seems to really enjoy himself at class, looking forward to each activity that teacher Hui Ling conducts. Well actually not all activities, only those with materials for him to play with! When its time to look at the TV, Wayne immediately would be bored and would start to climb down his chair and walk around in the class.. either (i) going to the window to look at birds (ii) to the door to play with the door stopper or (iii) to look for his friends and their mommies or daddies. And then, when he sees teacher Huiling taking out some toys again, he'd quickly walk back to his chair and sit on it again. =)

As usual, Wayne was the most 'vocal' (i.e noisy!) in the class, always calling out 'ah ah ah' to the teacher asking for toys or he'd be laughing out really loudly when he amuses himself.. like when he managed to stick some of the cardboard starfishes on the sole of his feet, dragging them along as he walked (totally not what he was supposed to do with the starfishes). =P And this lesson, Wayne was especially affectionate, hugging his friends in class, more than once.

The best part of this class? Mommy has been understanding my little baby alot more through the class! Mommy's able to understand better what Wayne likes and dislikes, how he reacts to different situations and how to pacify him when he is impatient. Perhaps this is the bonding between mommy & child that the Shichida programme emphasizes so much on. Hmm, actually mommy really hopes that daddy can accompany Wayne for the class too, I think daddy needs the bonding with Wayne more than mommy! Okie, mommy's going to pressure daddy to take leave every week to go for class with Wayne from now on!

Ohh, taking the class more seriously now, mommy & daddy decided to start on some home practise with Wayne! After consulting teacher Huiling, daddy got a set of flashcards and number random dots card for little Wayne! Now all mommy needs is some discipline & determination to do these home exercises with Wayne!

Mommy's happy & looking forward to the next class together already!

Chef de Cuisine Wayne Chan?

Mommy has really been in the mood of spoiling Wayne lately - constantly thinking of the many toys that mommy knows Wayne would love and thinking which to buy for him (mommy's heart says all!)... like this kitchen play set which mommy & daddy just bought for Wayne today after work!

You see, we brought Wayne for dinner at this golf club last Sunday and they had a kiddy corner with a kitchen play set which Wayne absolutely loved... After seeing how much my little Wayne enjoyed his own chef pretend play, mommy couldnt help but get him his very own kitchen set! The set includes an oven, basin, pots and pans, cups, plates and cutleries.. and when you 'cook' there's even sound and light! You can also dismantle and arrange the various parts of the kitchen according to how you like it.

We also bought Wayne a set of 'food' to complete his pretend play! When Wayne saw this, he was so excited, he kept asking mommy to open it for him!! Mommy loves to see little Wayne so happy!

Heh, daddy was commenting that the kitchen set is too big for own tiny home... already Wayne's room is filled with all his toys.. hmm, dont worry, mommy will find space!!! Mommy is looking forward to this weekend when daddy sets up the kitchen and mommy & Wayne can cook up a storm together!!! Wayne Wayne can invite grandma and grandpa and all his yi-yi's over for a meal!!!

U for Umbrella!

One of the first few things that Wayne could recognise on flash cards was the umbrella! Since he was about 8 months old, Wayne has been fascinated by umbrellas! Everytime he spots someone carrying an unbrella, he'd go 'eh eh eh' and point towards the umbrella. So you can imagine how happy he was when mommy & daddy bought him his very own kiddo umbrella!!

Isnt this cute? Kid size, colorful and in the design of a tiger, complete with 2 ears!

Although it was past his bedtime, Wayne Wayne refused to let go of his umbrella that night, walking round & round the house holding it!

Goaties, Froggies & Veggies.. all in a day!

Its National Day today and that means mommy & daddy doesn't have to work! Yippee!!!

So where did we bring Wayne today? To Kranji Countryside!!!!! If you are wondering what's there, lots!!! Well, before surfing the internet on it, mommy never knew there were so many interesting farms to explore there! It sure was an interesting day for mommy, daddy & Wayne!

First stop was this goat farm called Hay Dairies Goat Farm.

Contrary to what most people think, no it was not smelly! Wayne Wayne got to see hundreds and hundreds of goats! Papa goats, mama goats and baby goats! All sizes and color.

And, wow, it was fun to see the milking of the goats! Exactly like how mommy used to express milk out for little Wayne. Hmm... it was just 7 months ago when mommy last did that, but it seems like a pretty long time ago. You know, the process is exactly the same for goats.. first, the handlers cleaned the udders and teats of the goat, squeezed out the initial few drops of milk to be thrown away, placed the 2 electric pumps over the teats, and that oh-so-familiar pumping sound was heard.. and the milking begins, from the tubes to this container where the milk was stored. wow... thats almost the exact same steps mommy did.

Gosh look how big the udders are.. totally ENGORGED!!!! Ready for milking!!
The plastic pumps to replace manual milking with the hands..

The container storing the freshly expressed milk.. Hahaha... after the milking, totally deflated .. (same as mommy! =(=(=( hahaha)
Little Wayne having fun watching the goats!

Fresh goat's milk for sale..

We also bought a bottle of goat's milk to try.. mommy was not brave enough to try it, but daddy did! Finished the whole bottle. No trying for Wayne either!

Next stop was to the Jurong Frog Farm, which was a real disappointment. Not worth visiting at all, there were just many ugly frogs all cooped up in dirty looking cubicles... eeii.. mommy doesnt like live frogs. After seeing them, mommy doesnt feel like eating my favourite Geylang frog porridge anymore!
Where they multiply..
See.. hundreds of frogs cooped up in this ugly dirty cubicle
Frogs captured for sale.. so gross... all the frogs just bundled up in these green netting
Frogs for sale... eeii.. not after seeing them alive.. slimy and all.
So off we went to our last stop.. which was the Bollywood Veggies! Mommy liked this place very much!!! This farm was an eye opener! It was decorated real nice & interesting. There were all kinds of vegetables here, fruits, veggie, herbs etc.... most of which mommy & daddy have never seen before! Wayne Wayne could only recognise his favourite bananas hanging on the trees!

After touring the farm, we had our lunch at the restaurant at the farm, called Poison Ivy, named after the owner of the farm, Ivy Singh-Lim. The food was yummy and fresh from the farm. Wayne Wayne had his share of cauliflower, tofu and brocolli with rice for lunch!

And with that ended our morning farm excursion. Nature rocks!!!

Vivo water play!

Mommy's office is just beside Vivo City and each time mommy walks by the 3rd floor of Vivo city where the water features are, mommy always see little children in the water enjoying themselves crazy! & so, on this Sunday evening, we decided to bring Wayne for some water fun too! & boy, did he love it!

Well mommy & daddy were a little hesitant as the water isn't exactly clean but hey we can't deprive Wayne of such fun, right? Hehe. * fingers crossed- no rashes!*

Wayne Wayne didn't even think twice, once mommy removed his shoes, off he went into the water- leaving mommy n daddy behind!!

Haha, half way in, he bent down to splash water n smiled at mommy n daddy, obviously delighted! Then 'pom', he went whole butt in the water, all drenched but with a big smile on his face. Then up again & off he went walking round n round the pool with poor daddy following after him while shouting 'ouch ouch ouch'! Why ouch? Cos the floor was pebbled & daddy's weight was too heavy for his two feet to support on pebbled ground causing them to hurt! Hahaha! Poor daddy!!! How come mommy & Wayne Wayne didn't have this problem??? =p

After about 20 minutes in the water, it was time for Wayne to have his dinner by the grass patch by the water.. yummy yummy.. home cooked porridge for little Wayne! So while he sat eating his dinner, he looked & looked & looked at the many people walking pass him. Wayne Wayne even sat by the 'pool' side with his legs dangling in the water while eating!

And after eating, it was time to change out - mommy & daddy were all prepared with a towel & a clean set of clothes!

Handsome Wayne!!!!

With the wind blowing into his face, little Wayne continued his evening there walking around in the open space giggling, laughing & occassionally screaming!! Wayne Wayne enjoyed himself so much, 'catching' mommy & daddy..

.... And yes, trying to walk in between daddy's legs too, his favourite activity with daddy!!! Look at that monsterish expression on Wayne's face!! Hahaha!!

With cycling in the morning and water play in the evening, mommy was bushed by the end of the day!!! But Wayne as usual was still full of energy throughout the night!!!! Our little Cheeky boy!!!!!!
