Our perfect kind of a weekend

A hearty breakfast to start the weekend never fails! Love the brekkie at Toby's - favorite.

Love how Amanda looks so cheery in this set of photos with the sunshine casting a warm glow on her lovely face.

And how could I miss out, our precious boy who always loves a pose!

The yummy crispy croissant, absolutely scrumptious!

A Halloweeny Nite

If there was a prize for best dressed this Halloween (I should have!), it would definitely have gone to grandma. Well, yiyi was supposed to turn up as a pumpkin and give grandma a run for best dressed, but.. she did not. Hehe. Anyway, it was a simple Halloween activity we had, which involved the kids dressing up a lil and the family taking a stroll at the sky terrace.

It was for Wayne more than anything. I bought him a cute little pumpkin basket and he was delighted to fill it with m&m's, Yakult and sweets. I'm not surprised if it was the chance to eat all these snacks that got him excited - too much chocolate this boy have been having of late! I should stop stocking up our drawer with milo and koko crunch.

Mei Mei had this ultra cute orange tutu skirt which her perky butt did much justice to. She looked adorable. She of course didn't really know what the hype was about and why grandma looked a bit scarier than normal that night (hehe), she was visibly fearful of grandma's long black witch hat, for the first few minutes at least. Kudos to grandma for coming up with that hat in such short notice, handmade no less. Quite a witch, isn't she? I personally loved her blouse which complemented her entire get up that night perfectly.  San-yi, where were you??

A random supermarket post

A random post on my supermarket buys for the kids this morning. Love how my life and thoughts revolve around them even when I am doing my grocery rounds. Simple realisations that warms my heart, especially when they are not by my side. Like on this busy work week, a morning when I'm working from home and therefore could afford an early morning grocery run.

Clockwise from upper left:
1) Stonyfield's yoghurt in blueberry for Wayne
2) Dairylea Dunkers - breadsticks with cheese dips, for Wayne's snack times in school
3) Stonyfield's yoghurt in vanilla for Amanda
4) Cheez dippers for Wayne
5) A healthy yummy avocado for Amanda
6) Wayne's favorite - Yakult in grape flavour
7) Amanda's favorite - Kraft cheese slices

All important goodies to bribe the kids when needed! Happy Monday to all!

Once upon a time... Photoshoot!

Themed "Once upon a time..", this shoot was all about fairy tale and nursery rhyme characters: hansel and gretel, the boy who cried wolf, jack and the bean stalk, little red riding hood and etc. The idea of the kids in these cute settings were too adorable and mommy bring a fan of their recent works, quickly signed up for a slot. You'll be surprised how quickly the slots got taken up!! In fact, I was obviously not quick enough as I was on the waiting list and managed to secure a place only because they opened up an additional day of shooting, thanks to the overwhelming demand! Yay!

This was a kids-only shoot, and I was looking forward to some good shots of Wayne and Amanda! Wayne having been to shoots too-many-times (and easily bribed with toys and food he normally doesn't get too often - like chocolate and gummies) was a pro, flashing his smile on cue. Amanda on the other hand, was just stunned by the new environment and people around - she had on her most intense, serious look, it was impossible to get her to smile at all! So... that explains why Wayne had a 101 photos while Amanda just a few. Another not too successful attempt at having some decent sibling shots but overall we were pleased! It was a quick 20 minute shoot - easy and stress-free, definitely a plus point when you have two little ones in tow!

My only regret - we should have prioritized the settings we wanted. There wasn't enough time for all, and we missed out on Jack and the beanstalk, which Wayne had wanted to do!

Here are just some of the photos taken! Enjoy!
