Kendrick turned one today and little Wayne got to attend his friend's birthday party!First time Wayne was meeting Kendrick, hopefully they can be play mates when Wayne is older!

Mommy & daddy's first trip away from little Wayne

We went to Hong Kong the past 4 days, our first trip away since we had little Wayne with us.. and boy, it was tough. We sure missed Wayne alot. Very very much. Really don't think I'll plan another trip without him again. Wayne Wayne should go wherever we go!

Not that we didn't enjoy the trip. We did. In fact, it was good for HK and myself. It has been a really long time since we both went out alone. So these 4 days were really good 'couple time' for us. To just enjoy each other's company and relax. To walk around, shop and have coffee, just like how we used to. It was a foodie trip.. dim sum, roast goose, milk tea, luncheon meat instant noodles, xu lu shan.. we had it all, yummy!

But still, we missed little Wayne so much. So, next time, you are following us baby!

Go fei yiyi, GO!

Went to watch fei yiyi canoe polo match at NTU this afternoon! The weather was so so hot!!! Guess what, my fei yiyi's canoe sank the deepest among her competitors (bcos she is FEI yiyi ma) but she emerged champion!! yahoo!!

Will Wayne Wayne be a canoe polo player next time too??

First swimming experience..

We brought Wayne for his first swimming lesson at Hwa Xia today. The outing was planned to celebrate him turning four months. We were so excited at the thought of seeing him swim!! It was not a real swimming pool, just small tubs filled with water and they place this float round the babies neck and let them float around in the water. Supposed to be good for the baby, letting them exercise their legs and the bobbing up and down in the water was supposed to be relaxing for the baby. But well, it turned our to be a pretty disastrous experience as Wayne cried most of the time there! No more going back k, Wayne Wayne... mommy & daddy will bring you to a real pool next time yah!

The place was really crowded, we had to wait about 15 minutes before it was our turn and because there were so many people inside the small room, I think it got a bit too noisy and messy for Wayne's liking. The moment we took off his clothes and put him in the water, Wayne started crying! Really really loudly! Okie, our little baby is quite the scaredy cat.. he got so tensed up once we put him in the water and despite mommy's attempts to sing to him, talk to him and play with him, he just continued screaming his lungs out! So after about 10 minutes in the water, we decided it was enough... =) He probably only stopped crying for one minute while he was in the water. He must be thinking "mommy why did you throw me in this little tub with an uncomfortable thing round my neck???!!! i'm scared!!!!!!".

So while little Wayne cried and cried in his tub, his neighbour babies were all smiling and kicking around in their tubs.

Our relaxing Sunday

Spent the Sunday at Bugis Junction, daddy had his hair cut at Jeric Salon and mommy went shopping with little Wayne. As usual, Wayne was fascinated by his surroundings, watching with great curiosity everything that went past him.

And, as always, we just had to take some photos!!

Yet another jab!

Little Wayne had to go for yet another jab today! But this time, not even a cry! Yippee!

And today, at 4 months old, here's my statistics:

Weight : 6.6kg

Height : 63cm

Head circumference : 40cm

Our little Wayne did not put on much weight this month. Just 0.5kg this month. Dr Chan wasn't too worried as Wayne is still quite chubby & at the 50th percentile. More worryingly was his head circumference, which was at a sad 10th percentile only. We could hardly tell that little Wayne's head was small - we were all deceived by his chubby chubby cheeks! Dr Chan said we had to monitor his head development, so we will be going back to her again one month later. This got mommy & daddy so worried... =(

Is there anything that mommy & daddy can do to help make Wayne Wayne's head grow bigger???

4 months today!

Sweet baby, you turn 4 months today.

Mommy & daddy feel so proud of you. As each day goes by, you are getting cuter and cuter, with your chubby cheeks, twinkling eyes and thunder thighs. And without fail, each day, you warm my heart with your sweet smile, adoring looks and all that babbling in your super cute voice, which sometimes sound like squeaks... and yes, mommy even loves all those tantrums you throw!

Seeing how you’ve grown from the first day you came into this world, mommy feels kind of proud of myself, you know? For looking after you and feeding you so well into this chubby little baby! It may seem like an easy task bringing you up to others, but you must know there was a time when mommy was not at all confident that I was able to look after you at all. Mommy has never looked after a baby before and mommy is hardly the maternal kind at all. Mommy doesn’t even know how to carry a baby properly, and has never changed diapers and bathed a baby. But toughest of all, is having to breastfeed you, waking up every 2 hours in the first month even in the middle of the night. Mommy was like a zombie then, not having enough sleep at all. But mommy has done well and it is all worth it! Even when mommy’s breasts were engorged and so painful, the thought of giving up breastfeeding never ever crossed my mind. It is all because of the love that mommy has for you, which has given me the strength to persevere and give you the very best. And, mommy promises to continue to love and care for you to the best that I can.

Mommy hopes Wayne Wayne will be so proud of me. Mommy wants to be the best mom in the world to you! I want you to grow up and think of your mommy as the coolest & prettiest among all your friends’ mommies! Just as how mommy is so very proud of you. Every small little thing you learn and every new thing that mommy notices about you, can make mommy so happy! And each time I bring you out, mommy’s heart is full of pride. You are our precious little boy, and mommy loves to show you to the world.. and tell everyone that little Wayne Wayne is mommy’s sweet little boy!

Grow up well, my sweet baby, and always know that mommy & daddy will always be by your side, loving & supporting you all the way. Big hugs, baby! We love you so very very much.

Happy 4 months old!

Happy birthday Grandma!!!

Today is my grandma's birthday! HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA!!! My grandma is old - she is 56 years older than me!! Hehe. My grandma will scold me for calling her old! We went to Orchard Cafe for dinner where I saw mommy & daddy eating ALOT of prawns!! We also took alot photos with grandma on that day.

Its the weekend again!

I love the weekends cos mommy & daddy doesn't have to work and will always bring me out to many different places!

Today, I went to Harbourfront Centre. We went to the big Mothercare store where daddy bought a nice whiteBaby Bjorn for me. And grandma bought me a new toy!! I felt very happy cos I also got to see Aunty Michelle, Aunty Elaine, Grandma and Grandpa!

We even had coffee at Ya Kun after shopping. And grandpa brought me on many strolls around the shopping centre in my big green stroller!

Mommy & daddy also brought me to Hwaxia to look at the babies swimming - mommy & daddy will be bringing me there next week! I can't wait - I am so excited to finally go swimming!

Breakfast at Cafe Cartel

Mommy & daddy had breakfast at Cafe Cartel on this early Monday morning while little Wayne Wayne plays with his toy!

I went to ION Orchard!

Hi everyone!! Like everyone else in Singapore, I had to check out the new shopping centre - Ion Orchard! Finally mommy & daddy brought me there!! Mommy & daddy thought everyone would be staying at home to watch the NDP and so it won't be so crowded on National Day - but they were wrong! It was so crowded! But luckily the mall was big and spacious so there was still alot of space to move me around in my big Quinny Buzz! Its my first time using the original Buzz car seat! Its lime green - aint it cool! Its so much more confortable to sit in as compared to my Maxi Cosi!

Mommy & daddy then went for dinner & gelato at Gustimo, and little me had to wait for them for one hour!

And when I started making noise, mommy shoved my pacifier in my mouth!

But mommy & daddy said I was such a good boy that day! I did not cry at all, and after mommy & daddy ate, it was my turn! We went to the nursing room at Ion which was very clean and nice where I drank my milk and soon after, while mommy & daddy shopped, I slept in my stroller all the way till we went home!
