Wayne goes to Raffles Place for tea with Daddy!

It was a Wednesday, mommy was not working, so mommy brought little Wayne to meet daddy at Raffles Place! We met daddy at Ya Kun, near daddy's office, for tea time coffee. Wayne Wayne was so happy to see daddy!

Do you also want to work at Raffles Place next time, baby?

Happy nine months old darling!

Hi sweet darling,

Today you turn nine months old. Its pretty amazing how fast you are growing, right? Another 3 more months before you turn one. You are a big boy now. =)

Nine months old, and you love crawling all around our home. If mommy leaves you alone in your bedroom, you'd crawl your way out to wherever mommy is, even if its all the way to the kitchen. And if you are in the living room, you'd always pull yourself up into a standing position holding our red sofa. And little you, will try to climb onto the sofa although your legs are still too short for that. Mommy wonders when you'd start to walk?

You are also at the age where its really fun to play with you. You are such a playful boy! You chuckle and laugh out loud when we play with you. And you can go on and on without getting tired. You know whats your favourite game with mommy now? You like to hit mommy with your hands and each time mommy shouts 'ouch ouch', you'd get all excited and hit me a few more times. After a few times, you'd then lean your little head against mommy's chest to sayang mommy. Then you'd get up and hit me a few more times and then lie on my chest again to sayang mommy. Its like a game to you. You are so amusing baby.

And you make mommy love you so much. Each time mommy picks you up after work, you would get so excited just to see me, giving me your happiest smile. Mommy loves to see your reaction. You look at me like I'm the best thing in your life. You make mommy feel so loved.

Thanks sweetheart for making mommy so happy. The past 9 months with you has been the best ever. Grow up well darling, mommy loves you with all my heart.

Hello moo moo cow!

Mommy & daddy bought little Wayne a cow balloon to play with! This time, our timid little boy wasnt scared of it! Normally he's a bit scared of balloons, but not when its in the shape of his favourite moo moo cow!

Wayne likes to play with anything that is not his

Give Wayne anything that is not his, and chances is he'd like it. He'd give up his own toys for those 'untouchable' items. Top on his list:

(1) Mommy & daddy's mobile phone
(2) Remote controls
(3) Laptop
(4) Daddy's amplifier

From the list, we just know he'd grow up to be a gadgets kind of boy.

They key is holes and buttons. He loves anything that has holes and buttons on them. Thats the reason why he likes our mobile phones and the remote control so much. And the tower fan in our living room. He loves to put his little index finger through the holes.

If it happens to be dangling as well, that's like a bonus. Like the curtains. And decorative items that swings around. Wayne loves them.

Or maybe, the rule basically is, if its not a proper toy, he'd like it. Thats our little boy Wayne. =)

First time swimming

As promised, we brought Wayne Wayne swimming on Sunday! And he loved it!

Mommy half expected Wayne Wayne to be scared of the water (a result of our first swimming experience when Wayne cried most of the time) but turns out, Wayne loved it! He splashed water all over his face and enjoyed his float ride on mr turtle!

Lets go swimming again this weekend, shall we baby?

Lots of hugs from mommy!

Marina Barrage!

Spent the day in town, and on the way home, we decided to pop by Marina Barrage and wow, we were surprised by how popular the place was! It was really crowded! But I must say, its really a nice place to hang out on a weekend cos the view was beautiful and the place really windy. There were lots of family and groups of young people realxing there, flying kites and having picnics. Mommy is thinking of organising a picnic there too, but on a weekday so it would be less crowded!

Just for laughs!

Just remembered these funny photos that feiyiyi sent to me of Wayne! Burst out laughing when I saw them!

Love the lollipop eyes in the first and the red ribbon on his head in the second!

That heartwarming moment..

You know how everyone talks about the bonding that forms between mommy & baby when breastfeeding? Having breastfed Wayne for 7 months, I can attest to it.. I really miss those moments when Wayne would be latched on to me, drinking his milk. Because that's when I experience some of the most heartwarming moments with little Wayne Wayne - he would be latched on to me, happily drinking his milk, when he'd stop for a second, unlatch and look me in the eye, and give me the sweetest heart-melting smile, and the next moment back to drinking his milk. Its like his way of stopping whatever he is doing and telling me he loves me in his own way. And THAT, totally melts my heart.

Well, now that I've stopped breastfeeding, I no longer experience those moments.. but guess what, mommy has found another precious bonding time with Wayne!

Which is at night, just before bedtime. I am usually the one putting Wayne to sleep at night. We'd both lie down on mommy & daddy's bed. And I'd usually ignore him so that he wont think its play time and Wayne would be crawling all over, flipping around the bed, before he finally gets tired and sleepy. And THAT's when the special feeling comes in. =) When he's like all tired and ready to sleep, he'll 'stone' for a while staring into nowhere, then he'd slowly crawl towards mommy, prop his head on my tummy or chest and lie there sleeping. Awww.. its like he just wants to fall asleep by mommy's side. I can't describe it, but its just this incredible sweet feeling. That makes mommy's heart go all soft and feel all the sacrifices in life for little Wayne are all worth it.

Having fun in the water!

Wayne has been having such a blast of a time playing at bath time lately, that daddy & mommy decided its probably time to bring Wayne for a real swim in the water! Besides, we've got his swim wear, floats, beach ball, sunblock lotion and froggie float all ready! So this weekend, we are heading to the pool, yippee!

The closest we got to bringing him swimming was at 5 months when we brought him to Hwaxia where he was placed in this rubber tub and got so scared, he kept crying. The next time was at Pan Pac, in the hotel bathtub. =p Hopefully, now at 8 and a half months old, Wayne's a brave boy and wont be scared of the water!

Its a brand new year..

... and Wayne has been waking up to new toys every day - all thanks to the xmas!

His all time favourite (for now - cos he gets bored really easily) is the car bought by his uncle J. He loves it, each time he gets on, he'll grab the steering wheel and turn it!

The other present that Wayne & mommy love is the DVD "The Wheels on the Bus". When mommy first played the DVD, Wayne could only watch it for maybe 5 minutes before he got distracted & started to yell at mommy for attention. But after a few times now, he can watch the DVD for up to 20 minutes and get really engrossed! That gives mommy a short breather to do my stuff! Its a really good DVD, very entertaining! The nursery rhymes are fun to hear, and Beep the Bus looks really cute and colorful! Mommy wants to get Volume 2!!

Wayne's first holiday

We went on our first family trip to Genting right after the xmas festive season - on 28th to 30th December. Together with mom, dad, mich, viv, ken and elaine, we drove up to Genting Highlands for some cool weather, good food, kiddy rides and luck toiling. Well, turns out lady luck was only upon Ningam!

Anyway, this was Wayne Wayne's first trip overseas! First chop in his passport! Daddy wasn’t convinced that we could bring him to somewhere further (mommy was thinking australia), so we settled for somewhere nearer, not requiring a flight.

We were worried he may not be able to take the long car ride there, turned out not too bad. Half the trip he slept, the other half when he was awake, mommy tried to entertain him with his many toys! Wayne Wayne, do you still remember "Monkey....... DROP!!!"? Still cried a little, but it wasnt too bad. Hopefully daddy will be convinced now, that Wayne's ready for a REAL trip. Like to Australia. Or better still, Europe. Or the USA. *fingers crossed*

Just Malaysia this time, but it was still fun. =) Wayne enjoyed all the xmas lightings and the cool weather very much! He was so fascinated by the xmas decorations! He's a really good boy, as long as he gets to go out and watch the world go by, he's a happy boy. =) And we brought him on all the kiddy rides too - of all, I think he liked the carousel most. The weather wasnt too good for outdoors though. So we only brought him on the indoor rides. Save the outdoor bit for when he is slightly older and can run around!

Hope you enjoyed the trip Wayne Wayne! Mommy loves you lots!
