A happy weekend

Mommy had a pretty good weekend, mommy feels very happy to be home and to be able to spend time with Wayne Wayne, daddy and family. On Saturday, we spent the day at Grandma's home, visited Da-yi's new home and went for a nice Taiwan porridge dinner! And on Sunday, we went house viewing in the morning and then for late brekkie at Mac's and then to Chatterbox for chicken rice to celebrate Grandpa's birthday. And thats not all, at night we also went to Changi Airport for dinner and some shopping! Hehe, mommy had a $50 voucher to use there, so mommy and daddy each got a new fragrance, a small little treat for us!

As for little Wayne, a trip to the airport meant a ride again on 'push push' (in his baby language!). 'Push push' is actually referring to the luggage trolleys in the airport. Last Sunday, when we were at the airport to send mommy off to NL, Wayne sat on the trolley and he loved it! So now whenever he sees the trolley, he'd get all excited and happy! As daddy & mommy pushed him around the airport, he kept laughing away happily! Like mommy & daddy, I think Wayne will grow up loving the airport!

Its going to be a long week at work the coming week, mommy is going to be really busy again. But mommy is keeping my fingers crossed this Wednesday, daddy would be able to take leave. There are so many things mommy wants to do this Wednesday!

Day Five.. and Mommy is back!!!

After 5 long days apart from my little Wayne, I finally am home. =)

As the plane landed at Changi Airport, mommy couldnt help but smile to myself.. home sweet home. Mommy is really glad to be back.

Mommy was so worried Wayne wont recognise me at the airport, having not seen me for 5 days, but thankfully his memory is better than that.. hehe.. He still smiled very happily and got very excited! If not I'd probably be heartbroken beyond words. Oh but when daddy asked him "where is mommy?" he looked lost and blur.. hehe.. My little darling..

Day Three.. missing you both

How are you both again? Wayne Wayne, do you miss mommy? Mommy misses you terribly. Wait for mommy another day k?

Its end of Day 3 already and mommy is so so happy! One more day to go before I catch my flight at home!

Mommy attended meetings again the whole day, but it ended early, and guess where mommy went? Mommy went to visit the red light district! It was so interesting, the ladies were dressed skimpily in their bra and gstrings inside rooms with see through glasses and they'd be there trying to attract customers in. Hehe, so interesting.. they were all of sizes and age - fat, slim, old, young, big tummy, small tummy, wrinkled skin and smooth.. you had it all. We were so curious about the charges we got our colleague, Steven, to check it out! haha! He found the prettiest to ask, and turned out to be Eur 50! BUT he didnt ask for what service!!! Haha.. Anyway it was really interesting. Before touring the red light district, we also went shopping a little and then for a sumptuous dinner at a Thai restaurant. Saw a toy shop and got so excited cos mommy was hoping to buy something for you Wayne, but everything they had there, we had too in SG! Disappointing. Mommy's last hope would be at the airport!Both NL and Frankfurt since I'd be transiting there.

Mommy has got to go now, take care darlings. Miss you both lots and lots.

Day Two.. missing you both

Morning my 2 darlings,

Mommy had a really long second day, the whole day was spent at the conference, which was really very intensive. Lots of discussions and presentations throughout, no time to slack at all. But it was a really good networking time as well! There were almost 100 people in the conference. All finance people! And many of them, mommy had corresponded with via emails, but never met before. And you know, mommy kinda got famous there.. cos we won the second place in a finance award, and mommy had to go and collect the prize. Hehe, mommy was afraid I'd trip and fall while walking to the front and embarrass myself! Anyway I didnt! and after that, alot people came to mommy to extend their congratulations.

When mommy got back to the room at night, thats when mommy started to miss you both again! But mommy was really happy when I realised its already 2 days into the trip, another 2 days and I'd be on the way to the airport to catch my flight home! Yayyy!!!!!!!!!

Day One... missing you both

Hi my 2 darlings,

How are you both doing? Mommy hope daddy is taking good care of you little Wayne Wayne. =) Mommy misses both you so much already.

Its Day 1 today, and mommy just got back from a long day out in the city. Mommy arrived at around 7am and went to the hotel to check in, bathe and then met mommy's colleague Carrie, who wanted to go sightseeing as its her first time here. So off we went to the Keukenhof tulip garden in the morning and then we visited the city in the afternoon. The tulip gardens were disappointing as it is just the start of the season, therefore the tulips were all not fully bloomed yet. Mommy was expecting rows and rows of tulips as shown in the pictures! So we just stayed there for a while and went to the city for a walk and took the canal cruise. Thats one of the famous things to do in Amsterdam. =)

The weather was really cold, when mommy landed it was just 2 degrees, I think it got to 10 degrees by afternoon. But mommy was totally underdressed. Didnt expect it to be so cold. Anyway by 630pm, mommy was back in the hotel, as mommy was suffering from jetlag!

Mommy's all moody & depressed

You know, mommy have been feeling so down the past week. Not sure if its entirely because I will be going to Amsterdam for a week from tomorrow.. but I think that does play a big part. Mommy has grown so attached to Wayne the past 11 months, that the thought of not seeing him for 5 full days just breaks my heart. So here I am, all glum faced and feeling gloomy, depressed and miserable.

Ocassionally I try to wake myself out of this mood, and tell myself that its only for a week and its a matter of time before I have to get used to the fact that I cant possibly be with Wayne all the time. And since I HAVE to go, I might as well make the most out of it by enjoying myself while I am there. Spend some 'ME' time (which I complain I lack) and do the stuff I dont do as often as I wish I could, like painting my nails, putting on my face and eye masks, reading my magazines, surfing on gossips and useless stuff. And with Wayne's birthday coming, I can use the chance to find a cool present for him that I otherwise couldnt have gotten back here in Singapore. Oh and its tulip season there too, it must be beautiful.

Just as I almost manage to convince myself and snap out of it, the dreaded feeling comes back again and I get all moody yet again.

Sigh, I cant wait for Friday to be here already.

Welcome baby Nathan

Last night, mommy & daddy visited a friend who had just given birth.. Baby Nathan was so adorable. He was 3.5 kg and 53.5cm in length! Seeing Baby Nathan really reminded mommy of the time when Wayne was still tiny. Tiny tiny tiny. Mommy could tell daddy was quite moved as well. He kept gazing at Baby Nathan, and mommy knew exactly what he was thinking.

How time flies.. its been 11 months since Wayne was born. Mommy can still remember how you looked like, cuddled in the blue swaddle, eyes half open, skin tanned and red and wrinkly. You were skinny and fragile and you had really long limbs. Mommy & daddy loves you so much.

So as we left the hospital with that wistful, happy feeling.. mommy was thinking, maybe we should have our next child soon.... =)

Wayne is turning ONE soon!

It’s a month away to Wayne Wayne’s one year old birthday party. Wayne’s party will be held on 18 April 2010, a lunch event. Hopefully the weather won’t be too hot! Let it be cool and breezy that day, oki?

Mommy has spent the past few weeks surfing the internet for nice birthday cakes, venue, party decorations and lots more! After weeks of surfing, finally mommy has made some progress on Wayne’s first birthday planning..

First, mommy finally decided on a theme for your birthday party!

Second, mommy also decided on where to get your cake from and mommy made the deposit to book the baking slot on Wayne’s party date. Mommy also emailed them photos of the theme so that they can design a cake in the same theme. Mommy really hopes the cake will be beautiful. Its Wayne’s first birthday after all!

Third, mommy ordered your party decorations online! Mommy is really excited, can’t wait to see the party supplies. Mommy is keeping my fingers crossed that the actual products look as good as they do in the pictures online!

And lastly, mommy has also confirmed the photographer’s slot that day, to capture beautiful memories of Wayne’s one year old celebration.

Mommy shall keep the theme and all a surprise first, okay?

Happy first birthday Baby Chloe!

Sweet baby Chloe turns one today, on the 16 of March. She had a beautiful birthday party at Peek-a-boo last Saturday! It was a really cosy place, with an indoor playground for the kids to play in. Aunty Shimin decorated the place with Winnie the Pooh items! Thats Baby Chloe's favourite character! And Aunty Shimin even made her own cupcakes! Mommy is so impressed!!!!

Very soon it would be Wayne Wayne's turn to celebrate your first year!! YAY!!! My little boy is turning ONE!

Its bronchitis.. =(

Wayne got worse over the weekend. Running nose got worse, cough got worse. We thought he was recovering on Saturday. But on Sunday, it all just got worse. His voice was 'zhao xia' too from all the coughing. So today, we brought him to Dr Irene's, and sigh, he has phlegm in his lungs. Bronchitis, Dr Irene said. =(

Gave him a round of antibiotics and some nose drips.

Woohoo.. its the Chippendales!

You know, I was connected to my office network (from home) and I tried to access the Chippendales website and I got an access blocked message with reason being type of content : pornography.. Gosh. Probably in my track record already.. Rachel Yap tried to access pornography while at work. Anyway.. thats not the point. The point is Chippendales was fun! And Bryan Chan (HK) was H-U-N-K-Y!!!! Same surname. Haha.

This post is so NOT for Wayne!

Anyway, last night, mom, Mich, elaine and myself went to the Chippendales performance at Resorts World. Its a ladies kind of show (and gays too), not something I've attended before, so it was great fun! The guys were really handsome and hunky. Especially crooner Bryan. Hey, the website photos doesnt do him justice la... And some of the ladies there were so.. err.. they were really trying very hard to get the mens' attention. Pink girl and green woman. Eeww. Anyway. We had a good laugh at them too. Hehe.

So there went our $150 for an hour of gawking at men. Haha.

Wayne, no Chippendales for you next time, k?

Get well soon baby..

Poor little Wayne Wayne is sick. Mommy just knew it. That somehow the virus would be passed to you. All mommy's fault. This is the first time Wayne fell sick, so mommy & daddy were a bit 'kan cheong' - first time parents syndrome ma.

Wayne started falling sick on Tuesday night.. We knew something was wrong when Wayne Wayne started to wake up a few times in the night, crying away. He was coughing a little but in our groggy state that night, we didn’t really realise that he was sick. It was only till morning, when we saw that Wayne was having a running nose too, really watery running nose, that we realised he was sick.. Thankfully it was a Wednesday, mommy's day off, so first thing in the morning we headed to Dr Irene's at Paragon.

Dr Irene gave Wayne a thorough check and prescribed him with fever, running nose, cough medicine and a nasal spray too. That’s a lot of medicine for a wee little baby right?

Mommy was so relieved to hear that Wayne's lungs were oki as mommy heard from my colleague Jonathan, that his son had running nose, and had to do some suction thing as his lungs were affected, and that the process was quite painful for his son. Mommy hopes Wayne will recover soon! Dr Irene also asked us to let Wayne sleep as much as he wants to, to recover faster.

After seeing Dr Irene, we went home and mommy had the challenging task of feeding Wayne all his medicine. First time ma… mommy is inexperienced. Especially with using the nasal spray. Good thing mommy managed to trick Wayne into thinking that the medicine was some yummy liquid! Mommy just kept saying "Wayne, yummy yummy!" and Wayne opened his mouth widely, eager to drink it. The nasal spray was more difficult, as his nostrils were so small! But still, managed to. =)

Despite being sick, Wayne was still quite playful during the day. When you bring him to his room to play with his toys, he can still smile and crawl around. He will open the drawers in his room, take out all his toys and throw them on the floor. So naughty! And he still loves playing with the remote control. He think his thermometer is some remote control too. He will take his thermometer and point it to the tv or aircon and grin. So silly.

It was only during his nap times, that he got more grouchy, as his nose were blocked and he couldn’t sleep well. So mommy carried him the whole time and let him sleep on my shoulder for his afternoon nap. And mommy's back felt like breaking after that. But he could sleep better this way, so mommy doesnt mind at all.

Ohh and the fever patch we bought a few months back (just in case, on advise by Sebas) proved so useful. =) he looks so cute in it too eh. =)

Its day 2 today, mommy hopes Wayne will feel better very soon, take care sweetheart. *Kiss*

Wayne ni you mei you?

Wayne has learnt this really cute action - when you ask him "Wayne ni you mei you nai jui?" he'd lift up both hands with palms outwards saying "mei you" and grin at you. Its really really funny.

Mommy is missing you alot

Wayne Wayne, its now 845pm, mommy is at work still and missing you very much...

Looking through your recent photos, this was taken 2 Fridays ago when mommy brought you out for dinner at Bakerzin alone. Just you & mommy. =)

Kiss kiss kiss =)

Wayne totally melts my heart each time he kisses my cheeks. He thinks it’s a game, but to mommy, he is saying he lovessss mommy!!! The first time he crawled over and kissed me on the cheeks was quite a few weeks back. We were lying on the bed when he crawled over and planted a wet kiss (he kisses with his lips wide open) on my cheek. I found it so hilarious that I bursted out laughing and Wayne started laughing too, and repeated the act another 3 or 4 times. Each time I laughed, he’d repeat his kiss. But since that first time, I have been trying to get him to do kiss me again, but he seemed to have forgotten how.

So two nights ago, when he kissed me again out of the blue, I was so happy! I quickly tried to teach him that that action is called “KISS MOMMY!”. And the past 2 nights, each time I said KISS MOMMY he kissed me! Yay!!!!!!! Mommy is so going to repeat this every single night, saying “KISS MOMMY!”, “KISS MOMMY!”, “KISS MOMMY!”, making sure he wont ever forget again!!!!

Da yi has a new home!

We also visited Da yi’s new home today! We had to see it soon before they start on the renovations so that we can see the before and after! Da-yi KEPT saying her bathroom will be SSSSOooooooo nice – so we must wait and see the final state and see how nice it is, oki! And when Da yi has moved in, Wayne Wayne must go jump jump on Da-yi’s bed.. then Da-yi’s tummy will grow big soon!!!! Hehehehhe…

This is the swimming pool area, which is very nice! Her condo’s structure has an English design to it. Let’s have a BBQ and swimming session after they move in, oki?????

Ohh, mommy & daddy & wayne must think of a housewarming present for da yi soon! Fei yiyi is going to give her lifetime supply of toilet paper.. so shall we get her the toilet bowl??? Hehehe….

Teeth number 8

Teeth no 8 appeared on 26 Feb. Lower right tooth just beside the centre two. Because of teeth no 8 Wayne Wayne has been in abit of a discomfort. I realized he's been biting his finger to sooth the discomfort! Now mommy tries to stuff your teething ring in your mouth when I see you do that. And of course he's been salivating alot too! Hee. Wayne loves it when you ask him to let you smell his fingers! He'll put one finger to your nose & when you go eeiiii or yucks yucks, he'd chuckle out loud & put his finger to your nose again! Haha! He just likes to see a reaction from you!

Housewarming with mommy's friends!

Mommy finally got to meet my friends today at MengKit’s housewarming! The last time mommy met up with them was 1 and a half months back! How mommy miss my friends, we used to meet up very often, always having BBQs at Pearly’s. Nowadays its not so easy to meet up, with Little Wayne with mommy – but mommy is not complaining cos mommy LOVESSS to be with Wayne Wayne! But still mommy was really happy to see them!

Aunty Mengkit is preggie too, 8 months now. Can Wayne Wayne see her big big belly?Mommy’s friends are always asking Wayne Wayne to point at the prettiest aunty! All hoping Wayne would point at them! Heheh, mommy’s friends are all very vain!!!! And oh ya, they kept teaching Kendrick kor-kor to call them ‘Babe!’. Haha. Kendrick kor kor is now 1 and a half years old and learning to speak! Next time im sure they will teach (or ‘force’!!!) Wayne Wayne to call them chio bu, babe, pretty, mei nu etc etc!!!
