Good news! Mommy is in sg still!
Yippee! Volcanic ash in Amsterdam has allowed mommy to stay behind in Singapore - meeting is cancelled! Can't fly! =D
Packed my clothes and 5 hours before my flight, it was decided that the meeting would be cancelled due to closure of air space above Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport.
This is a piece of last minute good news for mommy & Wayne Wayne!

Fernando Alonso watch out!
Nothing beats driving a red hot car - Wayne had such a blast on this car! Totally enjoyed 'driving' and 'changing gears', as he laughed away together with mommy, daddy, grandma & grandpa!!
See you on Saturday, sweetheart

We know wayne has grown up...
.. when we find ourselves searching for that pre-school for him. Its really fast. Wayne is almost 13 months now. And you know, in Singapore, its so competitive, that even signing up for a pre-school has to be done WAY in advance. Which is gross right. Kiasu syndrome. And we are just suck into it. Sadly.
We plan to send Wayne to school sometime when he is between 18 and 24 months. Not to stress him to have a headstart among his peers or anything like that. But more for the interaction with other kids and for him to have some fun with his friends. Of course, he’d learn a lot along the way – I have many friends who have told me their child had developed so much once they started school in terms of language, expressing themselves, mixing around with strangers etc. Which is good. And he’d probably learn to share, having to play with other kids and be more confident when hanging out around strangers ( = less sticky to mommy).
Well, we also think he’d be bored staying at home the whole day with his grandparents. Mixing with some kids his age should do him some good?
Anyway, back to the kiasu syndrome in Singapore – apparently, signing up half a year in advance isn’t good enough, you’d be on the wait list. Which means its time NOW to start hunting for that pre-school for him. Not sure how true it is, but I'll soon find out when I start visiting schools and enquiring.
We'll probably search for a pre-school near our work place, drop him off in the morning and pick him up after work. Hopefully we can find a pre-school with a nice open compound where the kids can run around and get some fresh air. As compared to those pre-schools in a building without a garden.
Anyone with any good pre-school recommendations?
Pregnancy scare
Those close to us would know that our plan is to have little Matthew (who now has become Dylan, and I'm quite sure this will change again, so just ignore the names for the time being..) in 2012. And, if you realise, we are assuming its a boy. Not because we want a boy (we want a girl!!!!!!), but simply because everyone seems to think (from our looks) that we are destined to have boys! And yep, I cant deny, even mommy & daddy seem to think so. So its been Matt Matt and Dylan and I'll update you when the name changes again.. Secretly, I've reserved some girl names but I'm not keeping my hopes high.
So back to my dizzy spells.. I think it boils back to my overall POOR health condition ever since I had Wayne, breastfed and gave away all my nutrients. Because ever since then, my body feels weak and I've noticed that my hair is drier, my nails more brittle and my eyes looking more 'dead' than before. So when we thought I may be pregnant again, HK's first worry was that my body wasn't strong enough to take another pregnancy so soon and baby maybe weak.
Bite my toes, mommy!!!!
I love biting too!

Bye bye camera
Mommy feels so lost without a camera!!!!! Have been snapping pix of Wayne so often that now without a camera, I feel so lost.
Water leaked out from Wayne's water bottle and our camera was placed in the same bag, so that got wet too. So now its SPOILT and its time for a new camera!! I'm secretly happy actually, considering our camera was already 4 years old. And it has really served us well, going with us on many holidays and special occasions. Hehe. Now mommy can start looking around for a nice camera. Yippee. Mommy's actually kind of a photo whore. I just think its important to take as many photos in life cos these are memories you can look back on when we grow old. And seriously with our memory failing us more and more each year, 20 years later how in the world are we to remember what went on in our lives now, much less how we looked like.
So till we get a new camera, mommy has to make do with my iphone, so bear with the photos which are usually a bit blurred. =p

Its mommy & daddy's 2nd wedding anniversary
Celebrated our second wedding anniversary.
- First, there was the cool hotel room that Hk booked. It was a loft unit - really nice. We have always liked the idea of a loft home, so this was probably the closest. We just lazed.
- Went for a night stroll by the river, hand in hand, sneaking a kiss and hug along the way. While eating my favourite chocolate ice-cream and eclairs. It made me feel all lovey dovey over again. I miss those days walking along Orchard in the middle of the night.
- Ate our favourite Twisties & Cheezels and Coke while watching TV. TV is something we've not done for a long time you know.
- Read an entire magazine at a go. All 249 pages. It felt really good!
- Falling asleep side by side. Without worrying we'd squash Wayne.
- Had relaxing breakfast at the hotel by the pool. Reading papers while sipping coffee - when was the last time we could have a one hour brekkie? And read the whole set of papers- Classfied included!? Long long while ago.
- Shopping at ION. Looking at all the bags, shoes etc. Taking our time. Luxury.
- Tea & scones at my favourite TWG café, chatting about the world, our dreams, our lives. And guess who we saw on a lazy Monday afternoon having tea & scones too? Christopher Lee and Fann Wong. They are good looking!
- The best part - our dinner. It was like a perfect finale. The place was romantic, view was perfect, the seats so comfortable - I felt so relaxed and happy. And the food….. It was the best lobster I ever had. Soft and tender and plentiful.
Coming home to our precious Wayne after one and a half days being away- it was pure joy seeing him!!!!
And this whole celebration made me miss our wedding very much. Exactly 2 years back. It still puts a smile to my face each time I think of that very special day. The day we exchanged our wedding vows and promised to love each other for the rest of our lives. I love you HK.
