Bouncing into the second day of CNY!

On Chu Er, we made our way into Malaysia to unite with mommy's family @ Wayne's great grandma's home @ Batu Pahat!!

We planned to start our journey at 830am but by the time mommy was done packing, it was 930am! We thought we would be very late, but da-yi and Uncle Terry were even later!! Haha. Mommy was really excited and happy to join all mommy's grandma, aunty, cousins and relatives! Thankfully, there was no jam at all at the causeway and we arrived at noon. When we arrived, before daddy even parked his car, ah ma, ah yen yi, mommy & daddy and E and V and Uncle Ken, and Siong ge & baby Chloe, ting and meiyi all gathered outside the house to welcome us!!! Mommy was happy!!!

As for Wayne, mommy must praise Wayne for being such a good fellow traveller!! Haha. Cos although Wayne just woke up in the morning at 830am, throughout the journey from 930am to 12 noon, Wayne slept!!! Giving mommy & daddy no problems at all!! Mommy's proud of you darling!!!

So for the next 3 days, we spent most of our time at ah ma's, where everyone gathered from all over place. Nights were spent at Pine Tree Hotel, which was a brand new hotel! Thank goodness for this new hotel! Cos mommy was really dreading staying at Katerina hotel again which was....err.. not something to look forward to.
We spent the days gambling and eating all the CNY goodies and then gambling some more and then eating some more... And of course, we took many photos that day with all mommy's cousins!!!

And this is daddy, in his "lucky hat" gambling away! But unfortunately his lucky hat wasnt that lucky afterall, as he kept losing while others kept winning!!! Since we were young, we have been gambling every year at CNY, and mommy still recalls the days when we were just kids and the bets were 20 cents and 50 cents.. and now many many years later (15 years??), the bets have raised up to 50 bucks!!! Each bet was a minimum of 20! Mommy is shocked! Hahaha! Biggest losers were the Yap son-in-laws - thanks to Uncle Terry & Daddy!!! hahah! But gambling with mommy's cousins are always so fun - it is always filled with so much laughter!!!!

As for Wayne, he was kept occupied playing with Baby Chloe who is 4 months younger than Wayne! Wayne absolutely loved hugging Baby Chloe! Thank goodness mommy brought some of Wayne toys along, cos that kept both Wayne and Chloe occupied for a good few hours! Wayne was every bit the 'big brother' to baby Chloe - mommy loved seeing them both play together. Last year, both Wayne and Chloe were too young to really play, but this year they were perfect playmates!

We also had our big family dinner (5 tables!) on the second day of CNY, which was held in this big banquet hall with loud music (too loud) and cheesy dancing. Hahah. Not a pleasant experience cos mommy had to spend half the time outside the hall as Wayne was scared of the loud music! But at least we managed to catch some fireworks outside the hall! And the whole purpose was to catch up with relatives isn't it, whom mommy was so happy to see!!!! And of course we had to 'lo hei' to usher in the new year with the many many blessings!!!

And lastly, we also took our yearly extended family photo, very precious to mommy!!!! Each year we will surely capture these precious memories of everyone in the family!! May we all be blessed with happiness and all things beautiful in life!!!

Hopping into the first day of CNY!

We woke up at 8am today feeling all excited. Mommy & daddy had a busy morning preparing for the day.. all thanks to mommy & daddy being super last minute people! Haha! OOps!!! Mommy had 2 hours to get ready, pack the oranges and ang pows (yes, we waited till the morning to do that!) and prepare Wayne's meals for the day, which included boiling rice and preparing his soup which had fish, tomatoes, tofu and vegetable in it. As for daddy, he had to rush out to buy some gifts for visiting later!! Gosh, what a busy morning but we made it to nai nai's house by 1030am!!! Well done mommy, daddy!!! (You guys who are 'tsk-tsk-ing' away - wait till you have a kid then you'd understand! hahah!!! *excuse!*)

Oh mommy was really impressed with the packaging the banks give these days when you change new notes. Pretty right??

The Chinese customs believe that you have to start the new year with new clothes - so that was what we did! For mommy, it was a red & black flowered dress, for Wayne it was his new white shirt with blue chinese details and for dad, a white & blue shirt. Alright - we were all ready!!!

First stop - 1030 to 12noon : nai nai's place

Fried pumpkin kueh for breakfast - delicious! Wayne collected his red packet from nai nai, yeye, and Uncle J and more family photos!

77

Second stop - 12noon to 3pm : nai nai's sister's house @ Serangoon

More food! Yummy chicken wings especially. Gathered with all daddy's cousins and aunties. And coo-ing over baby Natalie who had the largest eyes. Wayne gave a kiss to baby Natalie and cheekily grinned after that.

Third stop - 3pm to 430pm : daddy's grandma's god daughter's house @ Telok Kurau ("ah bu" as we call her)

Even more food! Wayne met Baby Jesse and had fun playing the piano with Baby Jesse who has grown into a cute little boy since we last saw him when he was just a tiny baby.

Fourth stop - 430pm to 545pm : Aunty Florence's house

Yearly visit to Uncle Choo & Aunty Florence's house. Wayne spent his time in his garden, sitting on the swing and running around!

Fifth stop - 545pm to 730pm : Home for Wayne to nap!

Sixth and last stop - 730pm to 9pm : Nai nai's house for dinner

And we ended the first day exhausted from all the visiting!! Gong xi gong xi gong xi!!!!!!!

Our chinese "reunion"

According to Chinese tradition, the night before Chinese New Year, the family re-unites for that special dinner - our reunion dinner. Well, I guess because in China, the family members would be in various parts of China and they'd have to travel long distances to get back to their hometown.. But for us in Singapore, technically we could have reunion dinners every day!

But still, every year, in the spirit of making the most of every festivity & holiday & days off work (and yes, tradition and customs), mommy & daddy & Wayne will get all excited and look forward to the yummy yummy dinner nai nai will prepare!! This year was no exception!! Mommy & daddy had half days off work this 2nd Feb, and after work we promptly went for a spa session at 1pm!! Hahah!!! Mommy & daddy just needed that 2 and a half hours of relaxation and pampering so badly. The perfect start to the next 4 days of fun and celebration!!

In the evening, we got all ready and headed to nai nai's house... where a sumptuous meal awaited us, which included a Mini Buddha Jump over the Wall - YummY!!!!!!

But before the eating began, we had to take our family photo!! See how Daddy, mommy and Wayne were all so coordinated in our color theme - yellow!

This was mommy's 3rd reunion dinner with daddy's family already, and this year we also had Aunty Jen joining us -yay, another addition to the family!

And every year, when mommy had reunion dinner with daddy's family, mommy missed mommy's family, who were separated all over having their own reunion dinners! Grandma & grandpa and E was at Kluang having dinner with grandpa's extended family. Mic was with Terry and Terry's family in KL and Viv and Ken was in Singapore having steamboat! That's what happens when you have daughters. =p But not to worry, mommy will be meeting all of them the day after on chu 2 already!

After a heavy heavy meal, we all went home and got ready for the first day of Chinese New Year!!

Counting down to some "Gong xi Gong xi"!

Its already CNY eve tomorrow and there's hardly any CNY festive mood going on! What has happened to the excitement of preparing for CNY??? Oh dear.. looks like we badly need a trip down to Chinatown to soak in the festive mood!!!

No worries, mommy is sure when tomorrow evening comes and when we wake up early on Chu 1 morning, with our mandarin oranges and red packets ready, we will feel all Chinese New Year-ish already!

And look at these CNY clothes mommy had bought for Wayne! Not the traditional CNY costumes.. but Chinese-y enough!

Its going to be a busy next few days for sure! Reunion dinner at nai nai's house tomorrow night (abalones, scallops, and all the yummy food!!!), followed by (hopefully) a trip to Chinatown after dinner, bai-nian at relatives's place the whole of Chu 1. Then we set off to Malaysia early on Chu 2, and stay over for 2 nights till Sunday, just in time for another dinner with some of daddy's distant relatives that night. And whats next... back to work on Monday (anti climax!!)!!!!!!!

Counting down!!! And Wayne, have you learnt to say 'gong xi gong xi'???

Bonding session with Xiao-yi!

Nice.

Whoo.. Last Friday, Wayne had a morning out with Xiao yi at Sentosa! Wow, well done xiao-yi!

Xiao-yi brought Wayne on a tram ride into Sentosa and had some fun playing by the beach. Playing with sand, enjoying the morning sun, riding on the tram round Sentosa. That sure sounds like fun!

More importantly, that sounds like some serious bonding session! You know, grandma was 'banned' from this excursion, cos when grandma is around, Wayne would stick to grandma and wont want xiao-yi to carry him! Haha!

So is Wayne closer to xiao-yi now??? Hmm, from the way lil Wayne is hugging xiao-yi with one hand plus how he is gamely smiling for the camera (yes thats Wayne's way of smiling! =p)Mommy sure thinks so!!! But mommy thinks xiao-yi still has alot of work to do before Wayne Wayne will choose xiao-yi over grandma!!!!!! Jia you xiao-yi!!!!

Mommy indulges in some reading

In a bid to do something for myself. To do something I truly enjoy but have not had the luxury of time to do. To develop myself further. To enrich my life with wise thoughts and positive thinking.

Got myself a few books. =)

Used to read so many books growing up. I still remember my whole Sweet Valley collection, wonder where they had gone. Sweet Valley Kids, Twins, High and University. Wonder if its still popular among the new generation of teens.

Well, I've moved on to a different set of books now. Well, one fiction still - Eat Pray Love!! Cos I missed the movie (we have no time for movies too!). The rest are more motivational books - The Monk who Sold his Ferrari, The 5 people you meet in Heaven and Tuesdays with Morrie. Hopefully they will give me new perspectives in life. Maybe accomplish more in life as a result? And overall maybe just become much happier in life. =) And oh the last book, that's a bit more work related - 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Its a really popular book among organisations. Saw half the video just last week, might as well read the book.

So this Sunday afternoon turned our pretty well. HK had gone to the camp for his RT. Wayne was taking his afternoon nap. The rainy weather must have had made it a really good day to sleep cos he slept for 2 hours straight, longer than usual. So mommy had some relaxing time. Just 2 hours but good enough. I really needed it. Was really tired from the late night the day before from washing 2 rounds of clothes plus some blogging. And this morning, Wayne decided to wake me up at 8plus in the morning so the family got out early for breakfast and CNY goodies shopping.

So anyway, this Sunday late afternoon, I got to drink my coffee, eat my pineapple tarts and read a book. It felt good. Perhaps it just feels like I'm indulging myself doing something I like. Something I dont do often enough. And of course, the rainy weather made it all the better, snuggling on the couch with a book and some coffee.

Lovely.

Teddy Prince Wayne

THANK YOU SAN-YI!!!!!!!!!

Wayne gets to meet Baby Chloe again!

It's been quite a few months since Wayne last saw baby Chloe! Mommy and aunty shimin has also been trying to meet up for a while now, and yay finally we got to meet up today, in between our little one's Shichida classes.

You see, wayne's class ends at 345pm while baby chloe's class starts at 415pm! Mommy had thought chloe's class was at 445pm, and at 440pm mommy was telling aunty shimin she better get going else Chloe will be late, when aunty shimin said class had started long ago at 415!! Oooops! Mommy is so sorry for holding baby Chloe back from class! But mommy was surely very happy to be able to catch up with aunty shimin and Chloe! Baby Chloe has grown into a really tall girl! Good girl!

And thanks Aunty Shimin for the xmas pressie! Wayne absolutely loved it!!! His favourite Mickey lunch box - thanks thanks thanks!

And with that, Chloe baby and Wayne parted with hugs (cute cute cute!). Mommy also got a kiss from sweet Chloe while Wayne Wayne gave aunty Shimin a kiss too!

Let's meet up real soon!

More fun times at Shichida

Another happy session mommy had with Wayne at Shichida class!

Wayne has really improved miles. Together, Wayne and mommy had fun singing songs, learning alphabets, playing basketball, counting on the abacus, differentiating between hot and cold, playing finger games and lots lots more! Best of all, Wayne had fun mixing around with his friends after the class!

Mommy loves seeing the kids interacting with each other! They are just so cute! Especially sweet gerraine who asked mommy to 'pai zhao' for her when mommy took out my handphone. And our little Wayne as usual enjoyed going round giving hugs to his friends! Affectionate little Wayne, taking after mommy for sure!

Wayne was really happy, many times in class laughing out loud his signature "ha-ha" which mommy and daddy so loves to hear! His funny "ha-ha" laughter got teacher marge and the other mommies laughing away too!

Shichida is really fun isn't it darling?

A working mother's struggle

From time to time, mommy gets really upset for not being able to spend as much time with Wayne as mommy would like to. At times, mommy wishes I had the option of being a full time mom. At times, mommy is glad I can still have my career while being a mommy. Sigh.

Times like today, mommy wishes I had more than 24 hours a day. More time to spend with Wayne. More time to do the things that I like. More time to pamper myself.

Its frustrating that no matter how early I knock off work, by the time I pick daddy up, by the time we make our way to nai nai's place, and by the time we get home, it always ends up being 8 plus at night.. just half to an hour away from Wayne's bedtime. Just an hour a day maximum with Wayne in a normal weekday. How sad is that. I just dont understand why I cant reach home at 7pm and spend the night with Wayne.

I can only blame it on the darn traffic. We spend so much time travelling. From mommy's office to daddy's office - its so near yet always so terribly jammed up. On bad days, I can spend 30 to 45 minutes in the jam. And the journey from daddy's office back to Tanah Merah is another 45 minutes in the horrid jam. Factor in time we have to spend at nai nai's place and back again to our home.. another 20 to 30 minutes wasted again. SIGH. All because the time that daddy can knock off work is always the peak traffic hour.

And the frustrating thing is that mommy actually has flexi hours at work. Meaning I could actually avoid the peak traffic if I wanted to. I can start work at 8am and leave at 430pm. And have the whole evening with Wayne! I can even cook dinner every night! But we only have one car.. so if I do that, it means one of us has to take the train to work. Doesnt work out.

So well, maybe it isnt such a bad idea after all if mommy's office really moves to Changi Business Park.

Or perhaps mommy just isnt managing my time that well? How can I juggle this better such that I can spend more time with Wayne?

Mommy really hopes one day I can go on a 4 day work week. That would really help. An extra day off to spend quality time with Wayne, to bring Wayne out for some fun, play with Wayne and even do some fun home activities together. An extra day off for mommy to run errands, do the housework leisurely instead of having to do the laundry etc at night when mommy is already so so tired after a day's work. And extra day off to cook for the family. An extra day off to just stay home, put on my mask, polish my nails, read a book, blog and just relax.

Sigh.

Mommy's U-P-S-E-T.

My grandpa is getting OLD!

This morning Wayne was eating his slice of bread and decided to be so generous and kind and loving that he offered a piece of his bread to grandpa as a sign of his affection...... and guess what?????????????

Grandpa obligingly took a bite of the bread and.. Wayne burst out crying!!!! Why??? Because old old grandpa had not only taken a bite of the bread but ALSO a bite of Wayne's little thumb!!!!!!!!!! Leaving a mark on Wayne's thumb!!!

Poor little Wayne!!!

That got mommy laughing away!!!! I mean, seriously, grandpa is getting OLD!!!!! And of course, grandpa got a big scolding from grandma and mommy!

No more bread for you grandpa! Hmph!

Wayne gets better at Shichida!

Its been a long time since Mommy went for class with my little sweet boy. Mommy & daddy had decided that daddy should be the one accompanying Wayne for class for a couple of reasons:

1) it fosters father-son bonding which daddy needs more than mommy

2) with mommy, wayne tends to be 'naughtier'? not sure if this is true, but with mommy he tends to want to go out of the classroom, walk around in the class... etc. but with daddy, he sits on daddy's lap quietly. so perhaps with daddy, he will concentrate better?

3) at home, wayne clings on to mommy, so mommy hardly has any time for myself to do anything, so this 1 hour that wayne is with daddy at class, mommy just gets to spend the time alone doing anything i want. in that one hour, mommy has : stone in the car doing nothing, did a manicure and pedicure, updated my blog, read my magazines. Happy.

4) daddy dotes on mommy and just wants mommy to have some rest =)

Well as I was saying, its been quite a while since I accompanied Wayne to his class. And wow, mommy was impressed by the progress he has made. Mommy has to say this was the best class mommy has attended with Wayne! I'm proud of you Wayne!!!!

First, Wayne sat through the entire length of the class paying reasonable attention to all the activities. No walking around at the back of the class, no walking over to the other kids and mommies, no hanging on the window ledge, no hiding in the mattress at the back of the class and no peering out of the window to look at cars. And no tugging at the door handle to indicate he wants to go outside!! BIG achievement.

Second, Wayne actually did most of the activities as instructed by Teacher Marge! And he actually watched the flash cards on the TV. Normally, once the TV flash cards started, off Wayne would go to the back of the room. Wayne loved playing with the colored balls and stickers that Wayne had to match the color against. When it was time to dance, Wayne danced along! When it was time to clap, Wayne clapped along! And when it was time to wave sayonara, Wayne waved along!

Third, Wayne Wayne played with the other kids at the end of the class. Good start, considering how timid Wayne usually is with other kids around. Although he still stuck to mommy, Wayne still kicked and threw and played 'ball' with Baby Kyla and Gerraine. Good job Wayne!

Fourth, Wayne was so loving during the class, in between activities, he'd call mama and look at me, occasionally throwing in a kiss for mommy on the cheeks. Teacher Marge commented on how loving Wayne was as well! And for that Wayne Wayne is mommy's little hero!

Daddy must have been doing an awesome job in disciplining Wayne in class and encouraging him to pay attention to the activities in the class. Mommy's proud of my two precious darlings!
All ready to go for class!

When class ends, its choosing sticker time!
All the kids will gather and sit round Teacher Marge!
Its Wayne's turn to choose a sticker! And it'll be pasted on Wayne's hand!
And a big big hug for Teacher Marge for all the fun games that day!
Wayne with his sticker =)
And thats Teacher Marge with Wayne's friends! That's Seth getting his sticker!
Looking forward to next week's class!!!

Donald Duck!

Another new word for Wayne! Inspired by his Disney Mickey Mouse Clubhouse friend - Donald Duck!!

Thursday, January 20, 2011

Happy 21 months old!

Happy birthday once again darling! This time, you turn 21 months.

And remember, what Doctor Irene told mommy & daddy a few months back? That by 21 months, Wayne should be able to say 3 words other than mama and papa. True enough, over the past few months, Wayne has been picking up a few words.. so what's in Wayne's vocabulary now?

mama
papa
dad (dad's special, he has 2 names)
yeye
yi
ah por
ball
duck
bus (which he goes 'ba' actually)
block (which he goes 'bock')

It will be so fun when you start talking to us darling!

Just yesterday, mommy was commenting to daddy that you must have at least called me 1,200 times yesterday! Wayne just went 'mama mama maaa-ma' all day long.

Mommy loves it darling!!! Mommy will miss you baby-ness so very much when you grow up.

*Hugs*

I'm back blogging!

Its been a while since I've blogged... catch up time!!!

Mommy's not sure why it feels like we have had a busy past 3 weeks since the new year began! What has mommy been up to??? Hmm.... mommy hasn't been spending that much time at work, so where did my time went?? Hmm, perhaps, mommy has just been taking it slow, relaxing and 'nua-ing' after the hectic xmas holiday period and therefore feel like I havent accomplished much? Well, maybe... But few things mommy sure has been doing the past few weeks!!!

1) on line shopping
Gone are the days of shopping leisurely along Orchard Road... and in its place, online shopping!!! Just in Dec and Jan, mommy has bought about 8-10 pieces online? Well its really convenient and mommy found a site that their clothes sizes fit almost perfectly and the quality reasonably good too. So why not!

2) cooking
Well, its one of my 2011 resolution. I sure hope I keep this up! Maybe its the auntie in me, but I feel happy cooking! Its fun!!

What have I cooked so far?
Fish in Teochew style - steamed with preserved vegetables, tomatoes and tofu. Rating : 8/10
Chicken in mushroom sauce. Rating 1/10 --> Chicken was not cooked! =(
Stir fried brocolli with garlic. Rating 7/10
Baked potato with scallops and cheese (my Xmas family dish!!!). Rating : 7/10

3) Dreaming of my next holiday..
.. which one moment is Eastern Europe, the next moment Nikoi Island and the next moment, just a staycation somewhere in SG.

Maybe it will be all?

Feverish Wayne goes to KK

It was truly a learning experience for both mommy & daddy.

Wayne fell ill yesterday, on the second day of the new year.

He started running a fever at 38 plus degrees in the morning and we thought we’d give him some paracetemol and he’d be better. However, his fever persisted and went up to 39 degrees. As it was a Sunday, iKids (Wayne’s paedi Dr Irene Chan’s clinic) was closed. We chose to bring him to the GP at TMC instead in the early afternoon. The medicine we gave earlier must have had some effect as his temperate dropped to 38.3 degrees at the clinic. Which resulted in the doctor dismissing his case as ‘normal’ fever and giving him more medicine plus antibiotics. Mommy and daddy were sceptical. In that 3 minutes we were with the doctor, he gave mommy & daddy zero assurance and we had zero confidence in him. It was a bad experience. Plus the fact that he gave out the antibiotics so easily made mommy & daddy even more sceptical of his competence. Anyway we went home not feeling any more assured than before we arrived at the clinic. And Wayne got increasingly whiny and clingy in the afternoon despite giving him nurofen, our poor little darling must have felt really awful.

Mommy felt so helpless as mommy couldn’t make little Wayne baby feel any better other than to cuddle him and smodder him with kisses and strokes of love. Other than giving him the nurofen which could only be taken at 6 hourly intervals, in between we really didn’t know what else to do other than sponging Wayne. Mommy’s heart really melted as mommy saw our normally active little boy weak and lethargic and just looking miserable.

Mommy just waited and waited for Wayne’s temperature to subside after giving him the medicine from TMC, while daddy sponged Wayne’s neck, forehead and limbs with water. However, in the evening, daddy again measured his temperature and instead of going down, it was now 39.9 degrees!! Mommy got really worried and decided we should just bring Wayne to KK Children’s hospital. No more waiting.

When we got to KK Children’s, mommy was so disheartened to see so many people! The waiting time must be at least 4 to 5 hours! Thankfully we decided to queue, and when we got to the screening nurses (which just took half hour of waiting), the nurse measured Wayne’s temperature at 40 degrees and gave us priority queue and directed us straight to Room 11 to see the doctor. And mommy’s heart really dropped to the floor again. Was it so serious that we could skip the dozens and dozens of people waiting? Was our little Wayne in any danger? Mommy really panicked. Mommy & daddy’s heart really ached for our little Wayne, mommy would rather be sick and hurting than to let Wayne feel any pain and discomfort at all.

When we finally got to see the doctor, immediately they gave Wayne another round of paracetemol, placed a urine bag on him to collect urine for a test, and gave us water and napkins to sponge Wayne. We also had to feed Wayne some glucose water. After a few hours, doctors concluded that Wayne had a viral infection, which meant that antibiotics would not work on him (See.. aren’t we glad we didn’t take the antibiotics the TMC doc gave out so easily). Finally when his temperature was down to 38 degrees, we could go home. Mommy & daddy were relieved and exhausted at the same time… phew…

Well through this experience, at least now mommy & daddy know how to manage a high fever. And we’ve learnt how to administer the various fever medicine effectively.

At KK Hosp : The urine sample container, glucose water and water to sponge Wayne

Can you guess what this is?? Hehe, its a urine bag sticked over his little birdie to collect urine sample

The next morning, our little Wayne woke up much happier and could play with us, making mommy & daddy happy, though with his fever still.. but at least everything is in control.

Mommy & daddy loves you lots sweetie, it will take another 3 to 5 days, but you WILL get well soon!

What will 2011 bring for little Wayne?

Happy 2011 everyone!

Its the year of the Rabbit.. and wanna hear what this means for little Wayne who was born in 2009 - a little Ox?

Too small to be read in the picture above, but here's what it says:

OX

His personality Stubbornness seems to be his worst shortcoming. He appears gentle and amiable but can be temperamental, persistent and unwilling to share his inner feelings. Those who belong to this zodiac sign can also be reckless in pursuing something they believe in.

The year ahead Give him a break from his hectic schedule by planning recreational activities for the weekend. Further enhance his health by placing the gourd emblem (a symbol of happiness and blessing) in his bedroom.

Lucky colors Black and blue

Gasp, how true.. our little Wayne is as stubborn as one can get! =p

And, for da-yi, here's what it says about a rabbit baby!!!!

Rabbit

Her personality She is sharp witted and can react swiftly to danger. As she is usually obedient and calm, she is easy to discipline. Gentle yet intelligent, she often takes things positively but tends to be indecisive.

The year ahead She will likely benefit from good fortune during the Year of the Rabbit. To continue staying in the pink of health, take precautionary measures in avoiding any form of conflict on your child's luck. This includes bypassing ritualised events of mourning or even celebration.

Lucky colors Yellow or brown

"Babies born in the Year of the Rabbit, are said to be articulate, talented and ambitious. Like bunnies, they will be sweet and cute, yet be able to hop over obstacles and land on their feet."

Hmm bet the person who wrote all these is some fengshui or 'pantang' person.. ok anyway, for information only. Haha. I'll follow the lucky colors though.

Happy New Year all!!
