Happy 28th months darling. Big boy you are.
At 28 months, you are 90cm tall and 12.4kg heavy. You have started to really love ice cream and is a 'fan tong' just like daddy. Everytime mommy asks you what you'd like to have for meals, you'd always go "rice!". From young, you never gave mommy & daddy a hard time with eating, most of the time finishing what ever mommy prepared for you and for that, mommy is thankful.
You have started talking quite a bit too in recent months. Many new words added to your vocabulary including mommy's name 'rachel'! And words like 'chuckled' and 'jiggled' which you picked up from storybooks and somehow found funny, repeating them and laughing away. You also like to say things in opposites to get your point across.. for example, you'd go:
Go outside wear shorts can, home no shorts.
Carpark bao bao, market walk.
Lights sleep, dark dark no sleep.
You are also really cheeky.. loving to tease people around you with your funny answers and actions. Ask you to give grandma a hug, you'd go and hug the chair or something else.
At the same time, you are a really sweet and affectionate boy. So very often giving mommy many of your super hugs and kisses. And now you have started to extend that affection to daddy too (yay daddy!!!), just like how when you were in the midst of doing something, you'd stop and run up to daddy saying "kiss" & daddy would be bend down for you to kiss him on the cheeks. Or just before going into the bedroom to sleep, you'd insist on giving daddy a kiss first.
A very IT savvy little toddler, you also love playing with mommy's Ipad. Mommy downloaded many stories in your favourite characters, like Angelina, Thomas the Train, and the latest Dora and Diego. You love to listen to the stories and play with puzzles. Because you cant complete the puzzles by yourself, you'd always pull mommy's fingers and say "mommy do, mommy do. mommy do".
And today, you gave mommy & daddy a very big surprise when we brought you for a haircut!! You didnt cry one bit this time!!!! Which made mommy & daddy realise how you've grown up! You were fantastic. When we arrived you started saying "no cut, no cut". So Auntie Jessie said "ok, no cut, just trim, ok?" And you said ok. It was funny. So each time you started to hesitate, Auntie Jessie would go "No cut, just trim, ok?" and you'd go "ok".. and with that, Auntie Jessie managed to complete your haircut with not a drop of a tear from you, making mommy & daddy entirely proud of you! And for that, Auntie Jessie rewarded you with TWO lollipops!
And I think daddy was so proud of you (or so thankful you didnt make a din at the salon), daddy treated you to a ride on this koala car...
.. and even insisted on buying you a bowling set which we couldnt find at Toys R Us, so we ended up getting you a Dora and Diego DVD to watch. =) That's daddy doting on his little boy.
