Happy Champ!

This week Wayne started a new class. He had to adapt to a new teacher, a new class room and new friends! Its Friday today, a week had past, and Mommy is so thankful that all my worries of him not being able to adapt (for a second time!) was unfounded. In fact this week was the best week Wayne has had.

In the mornings, Wayne no longer cries when he leave him at the school. He has managed to sleep for one and a half hours the past 2 days. And, he even drinks his milk in school now. Mommy's really proud of Wayne.

Each time I pick him up from school, I'd find him playing happily with his new teacher, Miss Afiqah. He'd tell me that he slept in school and that he drank his milk, and he'd ask me "Momma proud of Wayne?". Hehe, its really cute. He would beam with pride when I shower him with praises. And as we make our way out of the school, whenever we pass a teacher or parent, he'd say a loud "HI!!" to them, point at me and tell them "See... Wayne's momma." Wayne makes me feel like the most awesome mommy in the world. And as long as I am in his eyes, momma can't be any happier.

As Wayne is usually the last to leave in his class, he is often alone with his teacher when mommy picks him. That means mommy can spend a lot of time talking to his teacher, finding out all about how Wayne has been that day. Miss Afiqah would tell mommy how Wayne behaved, what food he ate and which lessons he enjoyed for that day.. often, Miss Afiqah would tell me that Wayne loved story telling time and loved to dramatize what was read to the kids. Once, Miss Afiqah said Wayne even became the 'teacher', taking the giant story book and showing the other kids the pictures in the book. Not surprisingly, Miss Afiqah would also tell mommy that Wayne doesn't enjoy Chinese lessons, and would often say he doesn't like Chinese and refuse to participate much during the Chinese sessions.

  2. Haha, soon Wayne will be teacher's assistant! Big improvement with the panda mask; the last time I wanted to give him an animal mask but he was afraid of it! Way to go, Wayne!
