Easter fun fun fun!!

HAPPY EASTER everyone!

Well, Wayne doesn't know the meaning of Easter yet.. but to him its probably all about eggs and chicks and lots FUN!! We had a long weekend with Wayne only having to go to school for 3 days this week, as Thursday the school was closed for 'staff development' and Friday being a public holiday. So it was fun, fun and more fun for Wayne. Bet he loved the Easter holidays!

It started with a fun day out with San Yi in church where he did coloring and played for 2 whole hours. These are Wayne and San-yi's art work! (Fun day out is San-yi's favorite phrase with Wayne & Wayne now so endearingly uses that term too when knowing he is going to meet San-yi).

And, on Sunday, we also brought Wayne for his first Easter Egg Hunt at Peekaboo !

His little goody bag
It was really crowded with lots of children at Peekaboo, an indoor playground. The event lasted about two hours, and was filled with fun activities for the kids. Now that Wayne's older, at school, he has started to enjoy these 'social' events much more, being able to participate and have fun.

One of the activities was the "Walk the Egg" game, where the children had to balance an egg on a spoon and walk a distance, which Wayne did brilliantly... by cheating (he held the egg on the spoon and ran to the ending point).

That's the little one queuing up for his shot at the game
And there he goes!!
Dropping the egg several times before he decided to 'cheat' .. how smart!
Concentrating hard and looking all serious..
And yay, claiming his prize despite cheating!
Proud momma and Wayne

A corner for some art work.. making a pretty bunny bag with daddy, which didn't get completed cos it was time for the exciting Easter egg hunt!
Yeah, getting all ready for the egg hunt with his bunny bag to keep the eggs in!
And there he goes, finding his first egg!
And another!
And another!!
All pleased with himself for finding many eggs! Mommy & daddy were actually quite surprised that Wayne 'dared' to run off by himself to search for the eggs, mommy half expected him to cling to us. Then again, our little boy has really changed quite a bit over the last six months. From the timid little boy he once was, he is now this really cheeky boy, displaying a competitive streak in him on many occasions (Mommy thinks that's a result of watching too much Thomas videos).
Counting his eggs and going "Wayne wants more eggs!"
Emptying his eggs in exchange for some chocolates!

Proud daddy and Wayne with his thumbs up! Easter was really fun, wasn't it!
