Another reason why December is known as the happy month - we celebrate Kate turning one year old!
Doesn't time just fly by? Kate being born in the same year as Amanda, I'm sure these two little cousin sisters will grow up sharing a lot of commonalities. Imagine the many stages of life they will go through together, starting pre-school together, primary, secondary school etc.. and both of them being girls, I'm sure they would share many common interests. Mommy hopes they grow up being best of friends.
So today, to mark Kate turning a year, Auntie Jen and Uncle J hosted a birthday party for her at Shangri-La Hotel. It was a cosy event with both sides of their family, and being held at Shang Palace, the food definitely did not disappoint. It was sumptuous. Auntie Jen and Uncle J indulged Kate (or rather us!) in a lovely cake from The Patissier, one of the best patissierie in Singapore in my opinion, it was more than yummy.
Wayne made a drawing for Kate, sweetly asking me how Kate's name was spelt so that he could write "To Kate Happy Birthday" on his picture.
Wayne was happy to have a Thomas balloon at the party though it wasn't his birthday. Thanks Uncle J for his thoughtfulness.

With Christmas just round the corner, the hotel was prettily decorated, which gave us the perfect excuse for the many photos. The kids were not the only ones captivated by the beautiful xmas tree and cute teddies, even us adults couldn't resist a few photos by the lovely decorations!
Turning one is a milestone and I'm sure Uncle J and Auntie Jen are very proud of their little sweet girl.
